i hope crowdford didnt boost his power over 9000 after game 1

he looked sharp since the 2nd period there....... anything could happen, he could be lights out all of sudden

with that being said... crowdford is good, luongo is better.

Sedins needs to work their magic, I hope they produce in the playoff unlike the previous couple years.

hotjoint 04-14-2011 07:40 AM

Awesome game last night. Hawks hit so many posts. We need to come out of the gate in game 2 just the like the first period of game 1

TheKingdom2000 04-14-2011 08:07 AM

Who was that at the very end of the game? Did he try to steal the puck?

I believe that was a Canuck player.

spoon.ek9 04-14-2011 09:15 AM

^ i think he means one of the hawks. there was like 3 seconds left and they still attempted a shot from the corner. lu still reacted just in case even though it was going wide.

Either someone has a shitty memory or they're 'fans' all of the sudden.

Yea no kidding! The Sedins carried this team in the playsoff the last two years. The two people who I want to see step up is Burrows and Kesler, pretty much non factors in the last two playoffs. Be nice to see Raymond contribute this year too.

AzNightmare 04-14-2011 10:14 AM

Don't forget Samuelsson was the point leader for Canucks last season.
He rang it off the post yesterday.. (or did he hit the post two times??)

Oh yeah! I was like wtf!.. game's not over yet!
Who was the guy that called shutout with 10 seconds left?

btw, since I don't follow Blackhawks, just saw Crawford's mask for the first time. Looks awesome.
(Put in spoiler tags to not take up forum space with blackhawk pictures)

Looks like he has two variations (white or red feathers). Can't remember which one he was actually wearing yesterday.

Because last years 7th seeded Predators are comparable in ANY WAY to a team that finished 10 pts clear of the next best in the league?

Tim Budong 04-14-2011 11:29 AM

The twins were critized more so on their of bringing their A game when it mattered in the post season. Your can score goals. But u have to play even harder and better without the puck to prove it. Look at Kyle wellwood that one game last year. All beast with no pts scored...

You mean the guy who couldn't cut it as the Senators or Flyers backup, behind huge names like Gerber and Boucher? Yeah, good luck with that.

Ottawa I'll give you, but are you quick to forget he was injured in Philly? Geez. I'm not saying he's the be all, end all but he's done well backstopping the Ducks.

As far as the Nashville/Chicago thing, all I was getting at is that it's been ONE GAME. That's it. Not mention Nashville hasn't won a playoff series at all. You're calling out Anaheim because of one bad game? Give me a break.

AzNightmare 04-14-2011 11:59 AM

lol,

WIN ONE GAME, DEFINE SERIES

Wanted to type it so badly a few posts back... can't contain myself anymore.

if your gonna bring up bullshit like that at least find out why he couldn't "cut" it in ottawa. it was because of off ice problems, being late for practices etc that is why he got benched until the point the team didnt want him. hes also the guy who took the sens to the finals, did you forget that? as for the flyers he didn't play as great as he could of but thats part of coming back from the khl (where he was one of the best goalies)to the nhl again and then receiving what was almost a career ending injury which he tried to play through. to sum it up hes a hell of a lot better than you think and a hell of a lot better then ellis. the ducks also play better with him in net 6-1 or something along those lines?

AzNightmare 04-14-2011 12:02 PM

Is Hiller still out with Vertigo or is the Ducks just benching him cause of the risk of playing a goalie in the playoffs that's been inactive so long?

I'm shocked he was out for so long in the regular season.

dbaz 04-14-2011 12:04 PM

vertigo, no chance he can play with it

rb 04-14-2011 12:05 PM

Were any of you guys listening to the Canucks lunch today on the team1040? Only caught the last few minutes but apparently the Sedins were told to keep their shifts short to 35 seconds? If that were true, might explain why they didn't play their best game.

7-2-0 . Not bad considering all the crap he's dealt with. Ellis played well the last couple games but he's got a bad habit of letting in some softies. I haven't seen that from Emery yet, and like I said before...Every game that guys in he plays like he's got something to prove. I feel way better with him between the pipes.

He's still got vertigo symptoms. Hiller's been participating in full practices with the team (rotating with Ellis and Emery), which is a step in the right direction, but he still gets the symptoms after about 15 minutes or so of play. Once he got this stupid vertigo I just knew his season was toast. All I want for him is to be ready for next season...So he can pick up the Vezina talk where he left off!

Like I said... keeping our guys well-rested whenever possible, so the top guys can turn on the juice when they really need it.

Tony Gallagher tweet: @GmanQuotes 25 second shifts for the Sedins? It takes the Hawks that long to clear their throats.
