Hawks might walk away from signing Niemi

shawn79 07-29-2010 02:57 PM

sharks might want to take a look at that ^
they always had success with finnish goaltender before shipping them off
kipper, toskala :haha:

MR_BIGGS 07-29-2010 04:40 PM

Niemi could get as much as $3 million, which I think the Hawks would walk away from.

Turco perhaps or is he Philly bound?

shawn79 07-29-2010 06:30 PM

forgot to add this guy...

Grandmaster TSE 07-29-2010 07:02 PM

scott stevens is the man, his hits were just plain awesome

MR_BIGGS 07-29-2010 07:02 PM

^^ That game was epic...he came back and scored the OT winner!

Kariya doesn't fit into the Canucks plans, but I really like the guy.

Correction fella's, the Ducks were up 3-1 when Kariya got nailed, and they won the game 5-2. Maybe it changed that particular game, but Giguere was the reason it went to 7 games, and the reason the Ducks made it there. He was the franchise player there for a while, but after lying to Ducks fans like me, I'm glad he never won the cup.

MR_BIGGS 07-29-2010 08:02 PM

I stand corrected.

Holy crap, in that video of Stevens' hit on Kariya, at the 0:24-0:26 mark you notice that he's not breathing, and then suddenly his visor fogs up as he takes a breath.

It's normal as some hits sometimes knocks the wind out of you. It looks worse than it really is. When you can't breath, you can't move but you're stunned only momentarily.

Happened to me lots of times; in hockey and otherwise.

Tegra_Devil 07-29-2010 10:00 PM

ya, ive creamed a couple guys in hockey before(clean hits), that put them out cold...for they few seconds they are out, its kinda scary to see them like that.
