Not sure how MG could fit W. Mitchell into equation without a few moves. To be honest I thought that ship had sailed long ago. Stay tuned 4 minutes ago via UberTwitter

Willy Mitchell feeling great after 18 days of training/skating. He's narrowed 12 interested teams to 4 and suprise! Van may still be in mix 6 minutes ago via UberTwitter

I don't know why they haven't dumped Huet's salary in the minors yet. Sure, the owners lose $5m a year but it's a good move. Aquaman would do that shit in a second.
The Vancouver Canucks have replaced assistant coach Ryan Walter with Newell Brown from the Anaheim Ducks organization.
Brown, 48, has been with the Ducks for the past five years, He has also held NHL coaching positions in Columbus and Chicago, and was a head coach in both the AHL and NCAA.
“Newell brings a tremendous amount of NHL experience and success to our team as an assistant coach, including a Stanley Cup championship," Canucks president and general manager Mike Gillis said in a news release. “We believe his skill set complements our coaching staff and will help further develop our players; ultimately making this team more competitive.”
The Canucks have re-signed incumbent assistants Rick Bowness and Darryl Williams. In June, they brought in Roland Melanson as goaltending coach.
The Canucks did not give reasons for letting Walter go, nor did they give any indication of his future plans.
Brown was a Canucks draft pick (158th overall) in 1982.
