question:
Everyone says that this years canucks team is the best in 40 years. They have more talent, depth , grit and everything in between. If the team collapses, what would be Mr. Gillis's next move?
* this is not because they lost today - just a question that i had for a while... Was going to call Team 1040 and ask the guy ..

if Avery broke his stick to give his linemates a bit of a rest, then it's a smart and very creative move.

Let's all remember we raped them in game 1 last year, something like 6-1 but they ended up winning the next game. The roles will be reversed this time. The boys are going to feed off the crowd and end this series on Thursday.

Got destroyed 7-1 in game 4. Then finished Detroit in game 5 by another one goal game.
I think Canucks will end this in similar fashion.

Things like starting him in the 2nd period shows that he's not capable of coaching Lu. I don't know if there is anyone who can, that's the issue...

Having the best team doesn't entitle you to win anything. It just gives you the best chance. Anyone can run into a bad matchup or injuries. Quote:

I am not even going to bother listening to team1040. It will get me so angry with all the idiotic callers phoning in. Do people actually think the Canucks will sweep the damn playoffs going 16-0? All I can say is, at least they weren't the LA Kings last night. 4-0 lead in game 3 and they blow it. Although it was bound to happen the Sharks wake up.

Maybe you're just asking a "matter of fact" question but we're in the middle of a bloody playoff race, up 3-1 in our series. I'm not even remotely considering any failure by the team. A loss here or there - sure - but we, as a team, haven't "collapsed" all season long.
I'll consider the future of the team when our season is over... in June....after the parade.

If the team collapses, what would be Mr. Gillis's next move?
Get rid of torres raymond and salo, sign brad richards
because
-we are first in every category except pk which we are tied for 2nd?
-coaching staff are responsible for offensive and defensive (pp 1st and pk tied 2nd)
-we have 2 back to back mvp and art ross winner
-best goaltending duo
-selke candidate
-best face off team
-best defense core when healthy
Only reason we will collapse is the ref and the nhl trying to help big american nhl market teams by being unfair (phantom calls and ridiculous suspensions)
