i'm a big lu supporter but this is the first time i'm gonna say start schneider next game.

chicago owns lu. plain and simple.

play schneider. get the win. and start lu again next round.

I hate to agree with you, but it's time in the series to give Schneider a chance... Lu has blown his 2 games in a row, and 3 years in a row now.

The whole team needs to wake the fuck up and start playing like they did in period 1 of game 1.

HondaGuy 04-21-2011 08:37 PM

watched up til 8:15pm...think that was 5-0...went to canadian tire for stuff and now back ... and still depressed...watching whats left at the game...

ho hum... :(

DanHibiki 04-21-2011 08:37 PM

TheKingdom2000 04-21-2011 08:38 PM

Do you really think Lu isn't gonna start next game?

whole team is burning out from last nite for fuck sakes !!!

DsZ24 04-21-2011 08:39 PM

Had the game on in the background till the end. Wasn't paying too close attention the last 10 minutes tho. Maybe the rest of the SJ/LA game will give me my hockey fix for the night

Hondaracer 04-21-2011 08:41 PM

Next game is a defining moment for franchise/Luongo.

I don't buy it (or at least I hope that's not true). If you're going to burn out 3 games in, this team has no business in the play offs where the road just gets longer with tougher teams.

SkinnyPupp 04-21-2011 08:46 PM

How many times have we seen a young goalie come out of nowhere and take a team to the finals, after the regular guy either gets injured or chokes?

I say go with Schneider. Luongo has proven himself to be a playoff choker more than enough now.

It won't happen, of course. It's probably in his contract to veto any decision the coach makes.

LP700-4 04-21-2011 08:46 PM

Bet you guys any money Luongo will start the next one, nucks have to regroup, they have 2 days to do so..... BELIEVEEE

white_guilt 04-21-2011 08:50 PM

schneider and luongo needs to do the fusion dance and create the mythical Luoneider. Perhaps then we will only lose by 2 or 3 goals in the next game.

shawn79 04-21-2011 08:53 PM

gaa and sav % will still be the same if u average both of them out

tonyzoomzoom 04-21-2011 08:53 PM

Luongo will start game 6 (and game 7 if necessary). He is part of the core group and everyone in the core group has to step up if we are to win this and get the fricken monkey off our backs once and for all.

I still believe that we can.

InvisibleSoul 04-21-2011 09:01 PM

I also believe Schneider needs to start game 6...

And this isn't because I think Luongo has been particularly bad in these last two games.

It's because the Blackhawks feel like they can score at will when he's in net.

Yeah, maybe he could have stopped a couple of them, but most of the goals have gone through screens and/or have been perfect shots.

I definitely place way more blame on the rest of the team than Luongo for these last two games. Where the hell has the super collection of defencemen disappeared to?

Bottom line, something needs to change the complexion of the game... and Schneider is what will do it. Seriously, how much worse can it possibly be if he was in net for game 6?

Canucks can ride Luongo again when/if they get past Chicago, but for now, something has to change.

Greenstoner 04-21-2011 09:03 PM

On the bright side that we only need to win 1 out of 2 and they gotta win both games

i kind of want torres out the rest of this series. he's sparked the hawks more than he has the canucks.

EmperorIS 04-21-2011 09:04 PM

luongo starting next game ..
i want torres out

If Luongo doesn't start a game, there's no going back.
