That's the beauty about sports - the unpredictability. If it wasn't for that, where would the excitement be for the fans ?? Have faith in the team. We'll pull through. |

It's going to be a messy move if it happens. There was some talk that some players might try to get out of their contracts because they don't want to move to Winnipeg, not sure legally they can do it but imagine having an team where half the team wants out. |
blame winnipeg for being such a crappy city like edmonton |

I'm 50/50 on the Jets being back in Winnipeg. I used to live there and saw the Jets play as a kid. I was there for Selanne's rookie season and was at the game where he set the rookie goal scoring record. Tickets were like $37 bucks and going to those games are some of my fondest memories. I used Selanne's number through all my minor hockey/football/etc days, and I still do now! It would be awesome to see the Jets playing again. But on the flip side Winnipeg is a fucking dump. I went back there after about 15 years to visit my now ex-gf and not much had changed. It's really not an NHL city. The MTS centre is a single lower-bowl arena that I'm shocked seats 15,000 people. I caught a Moose game there and it felt tiny. I honestly don't think an NHL franchise there will last, and players will not want to go there. Even if they sell out every game like the Canucks do 15,000 tickets does not generate a ton of revenue for the team. Attracting big names to keep the team competitive will be near impossible so interest will fade and the Jets will die a second time. It's a nice dream but I really don't think it will happen, and if it does it won't last. http://i.cdn.turner.com/sivault/mult...nish-flash.jpg |
Luongo being named Vezina after the past 2 games is like having Jack Nicholson as the designated driver after the Oscar's after-party. Saw this on Twitter earlier lol |
buffalo up 3-0 on flyers with 4mins left in the first period + Boucher pulled. Canucks much? |
I'm pretty worried about the Hawks just pushing forward with this big scoring, 2 game momentum. We still have 2 more cracks at it, I think we'll get the job done. |
Although it's from last year, same shit can be applied to Sundays game. Hopefully we see some urgency. Quote:

Tyler Ennis |
Dat Ennis Posted via RS Mobile |
its ok if canucks get knock out in western final but its not ok to lose to the blackhawks period. |
Ennis is listed at 157lbs - he must be shifty as fuck to not get run over out there. |
I was never more disappointed with the Canucks than I was last night. There was no bounceback...no intensity after getting their ass kicked the game before. Like they didn't even care. I was there for the 8-2 ass kicking from the Flyers a couple years ago. That was nowhere near as bad as yesterday. Just NOTHING from the Canucks. |
Though I was like everyone yesterday, I'm actually feeling good about Sunday. The boys will dig deep and show up better, it'll be a better game. The score will be 4-3 Nucks. |
Winnipeg being a shithole is probably the reason it will do better there than most non-shithole american cities. 15,000 seats means there is something to do for 15,000 people 40 nights each fall-spring. Look at Phoenix. Lovely city, but nobody gives a shit about the team. That's why it failed. Winnipeg WANTS a team. BAD. They'll support it, even if it sucks. |
As long as we win game 6, its all good. Just think about the revenue Canucks are making for each game, and how much its bringing to our economy as well. Just as long as we win game 6. |
