how about ford focus wagon?? if u get one used its really cheap so it wont lose much more value. my dad has one and its good on gas and its been very reliable. handling is superb for sure almost no body roll and feels like it oversteers when turning fast.
the trunk of the focus wagon is WAY larger than the other suggestions here, such as matrix, fit, yaris, mazda 3, fiesta, etc. and if u have a family of 4 PLUS stuff u wouldnt want a fit, yaris or fiesta anyways they are way too small.
