I would still recommend PRS.
They provide the bike and gear. You know they are successful and are accredited.

With that guy, you need to have a bike and gear already. You dont know what his background is like, if other people recommend him or not.

PRS - hands down.

For $800, you get an entire's week worth of training (37.5 hours + 1 full day's ride time) and the use of everything (minus boots.) $400 for about 4 or 5 hours of instruction from some Joe Blow off the street? You won't learn squat.

Several people have taken Pro Ride. They're a good school as well but I toughed it out (as with many other people who have posted) and went to PRS in Surrey. Much better school IMO.

considering you have no prior experience with bikes, PRS is the way to go.

I took the course a few months back and it is EXCELLENT!
they teach you the theory for two days, then 3 days of parking lot. you also get to use their bikes for your road test the first time. if you bomb the road test, then it is 50bux to rent it from them.

like someone has already said, they provide all the gear and the training is just excellent. they cover all aspects of riding, and you even go out for 2 class road rides after you are done your parking lot training.

+1 for PRS, there is a reason why they are so reputable. sure, it may be a little farther out, but it is completely worth it and you'll make friends/riding buddies. remember that it's your life on the line, don't take the risk with a stranger.

PRS, I didn't even have a second thought (about going elsewhere) when I decided to take the course there.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.
