ya
im sick and tired of 3rd gear pop lol

my 2nd gear dont grind

but 3rd gear likes to pop every once in awhile but mostly a wall when shifting

in winter time its more severe, which i came to a conclusion where i flush it every 5000-6000km than it shifts like butter, no pop no wall.

lately i been kinda lazy and havent flush it for almost 10,000km

the 3rd gear isnt as smooth, and the wall feeling seems to come back.
have always been using the oem mtf.,...but maybe its time to change

heard nth but great reviews on Amsoil's MTF

PS

i read someone down in the states claims that once you go synthetic, you cant go back (for tranny) potential damage?

try the mix that Subaru guys made.
They put a quart of the heavy weight RL, synchromesh, and 2 quarts of regular castrol gear oil for the weak WRX 02-04 5 speed tranny. It helped a lot on subaru cars. I think Hypa tried it before too !

I used to have the same symptoms on my first batch 02' wrx 5 speed tranny.
I've tried castrol synthetic, motul synthetics, Mobil 1 syn. That all grind and block in gears.
But once i go back to mineral (75w90 valvoline) + GM synchromesh, it's very smooth and no problem whatsoever.

Mugen Evolution: I know that Newtype Mitsubishi (Rev Competition) and MF Technology sells Amsoil fluids...

If you call Newtype ask for Ken in parts dept....

Good luck.

I've been using Motul Motylgear 10w40 myself for daily driving & lapping purpose for a good few years now. Shifts nice & smooth no matter it's sub zero or 30c+ outside.

That's because Scamsoil is sold thru Pyramid marketing like Mary Kay cosmetics. You need to find an independent agent for the stuff, who usually sell it out of their own homes. I'm sure there are plenty of them in BC

Why don't you either give them a call or head on over to see if they have Amsoil in stock

using redline 10w40.

colder days would make the tranny a lil clunky on the ITR.. but other wise its not bad.
