91 integra rs

Hey guys, so i just went a checked out a 91 integra rs and was just wondering if i could get some feedback... So the car has 170 xxx kms, its in pretty good shape, minus a tiny bit of rust on the drivers side rear wheel well, has newish paint about a year and a half ago, the guy says he's done all the regular maintenance and by the look of the car i didn't really have any reason not to believe him. The bad is it needs new tires and the drivers seat belt is all shredded for some odd reason. Basically i know enough about cars to get me by but i just wanted to see what you all would think its worth. CL ad http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rc...836122890.html thanks for any help:thumbsup:

insomniac 07-10-2010 03:55 PM

OVER 9000!!!!
:haha:
being serious, i think it should be worth less :S

FerrariEnzo 07-10-2010 04:26 PM

maybe $2000 or under..

it is a pretty old car...

Tegra_Devil 07-10-2010 05:07 PM

i think 1,800 would be fair for a car that old and its stats

Fafine 07-10-2010 05:10 PM

...

I would not buy a car with a seatbelt that is "all shredded". I also believe that it's technically illegal to sell a car that has a malfunctioning piece of safety gear like the seatbelts.

i didnt notice that but yea, how would a seatbelt get shredded? have you even ask why? very strange...

you should do a VIN check also if you are seriously thinking of buying it at over $2000, you need a good honda mechanic, tell the owner that you are willing to pay for the inspection of the car and setup a time..

if the owner refuses then you gotta wonder why?

i got my 90 4door at $600.. its not in the best of shape with stuff that needs replacing soo but gets me to/from work and thats all i need for now..

spoon.ek9 07-11-2010 08:59 AM

have the owner replace that seatbelt before the sale. like others have said, check the VIN with ICBC and Aircare's websites to take a look at the KM's (to see if they are going up normally) and have it inspected. a reasonable seller will do all of these things especially since you will offer to pay for it. but be warned, if someone else hands him the cash with no questions asked...

i'd do ~$2000 for this.

shredded seat belt could be a sign that it has been on an accident

Nvasion 07-11-2010 03:38 PM

after i re-read it.... if it needs four new tires... then for sure its worth under 2k and that seat belt thing... could mean there was a previous accident.

vision87 07-12-2010 12:10 AM

thanks for the advice

Fafine 07-12-2010 12:13 AM
