ebrake up + getting towed

So I got my car towed today while i was working at metro. And I lefted the ebrakes up. I was wondering if there could be any potential damages to my car?

If it helps, my car is auto

there was a thread about this, so I thought I might ask this question !

TIA

Most of the time they open your door and release the ebrakes. If you think it was towed with E brakes on, try getting ur e brakes inspected and if there was a burn mark, file a complain and get them to replace the ebrakes for you.

most of the time...its dollied....

edit: in all of my life...i have never seen a car get towed with the E-brake dragging....because if its pulled up hard enough ( properly ) the tires will drag thus creating a whole lot of smoke.

Wouldn't that just mean the guy who parked your car at the lot put the parking brake on before leaving?

probably used dollies otherwise they risk the customer calling saying something was stolen, and they get the dolly charge, i worked at a tow shop once, always charged the dolly fee even if it wasnt required

My car was towed away with the e-brake up...

Albeit he only made it a car length since I was yelling profanities at the cunt scab.

you may need new rear brake pads or have the cable adjusted/tightened.

they'll still need dolly for the front wheels since they have a chance of turning. and a fwd car most likely.

if they tow from the rear, they wont dolly the front wheels...what they will do is open your door, and rope your steering wheel to your sideview mirror to prevent it from turning.

Isn't that why they crank the wheel so that the steering locks?
I've seen tow truck drivers do it to a Volvo 242 at Cap.

If there aren't massive flat spots on your tires, then they either dollied it, or just put the ebrake back up when it got to the lot.

except that steering wheels lock out, so if the steering wheel is turned at all, they can't straighten in out...

I recently got pretty upset over the same issue, and the towing company (Busters) refused to tell me. I eventually found out (after several phone calls), that it is pretty much standard now to use dollies

Here is a good trick to try, bring two wood blocks with you , back into parking stall so rear wheels are on the blocks, if your car is lowered the tow truck won't be able to fit under the front of your car, problem solved.
