bringing animal back to canada, procedures?

hey guys, hope someone here with personal experience can help me out. (well my friend actually)..

my friend has a cat in Hong Kong for the past 3 months, the cat was born here and is just on a vacation with my friend.. she wants to bring the cat back to Canada, what are the steps needed? I rmb that she needed to get all these shots for her cat in Canada before bringing to Hong Kong....Will she need to repeat the same steps for bringing it back to Vancouver?

Thanks

She will need rabies for sure and you will have to check with the Canadian border as to whether the cat will need be quarantined

I brought me dog over from HK in 2003. I will give you a basic idea on what to do but dont quote me on it cause its been so many years.

it has to have micro chip, rabies shot, doctor body check and export doc from HK gov.
You will have to confirm which flight you are taking because you will need to have the vet report done and fly within 7 days.
You will have to call the airline to confirm what size the cage has to be and they have restriction on what kind of water bottle you have there as well.
These are all the information i can remember. hope this can help you.

Is bringing from HK back to Vancouver the same process as bringing from HK back to Vancouver? Excellent question, idiot.
