Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston announced today on the cover of Us Weekly that they're back together, have decided to get hitched – and that even their parents had no idea.
"We got engaged two weeks go," the daughter of 2008 vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told the magazine. "It felt right, even though we don't have the approval of our parents."
The reunited couple and their 18-month-old son Tripp graced the cover of the magazine Wednesday wearing white.
The duo, both 20, ended their rocky romance in March 2009 after a highly-publicized breakup and Palin later described Johnston as "a stranger to me."
But just this month, Johnson issued a surprise apology to the Palins, saying he was sorry for his "youthful indiscretions" in an apparent bid to win back the family's affection.
The pair, engaged once before, got back together three months ago after meeting to discuss a custody plan for their son, then taking him on walk, they said.
An intimate text from Johnston later that night rekindled the young lovers' romance.
"When he left that night, we didn't hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was," the young mother said. He texted me: 'I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again' ... I was in shock."
Despite their nuclear breakup, slams from Sarah Palin and Johnston's high-profile nude photo shoot for Playgirl, the two said they are committed to making the relationship work this time around.
The only wild card? Sarah Palin.
"It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be," the bride-to-be said. "Hopefully she will jump on board."
Sarah and Todd Palin issued a joint statement on the Today show on Wednesday morning.
"Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children," the statement said. "Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives."

The magazine's editor, Caroline Schaefer, told NBC the couple were living separately and practicing abstinence and planned to wed within the next month

Well I wouldn't count Palin out but it's a long shot because she won't get much support outside of her own base but that been said Obama and the Dems are in serious trouble. Obama's poll numbers are horrendous, I think 70% of Americans think the country is heading in the wrong direction and the Dems might lose both the house/senate come November.
Add the Teaparty movement and their candidates in the mix who are gaining steam before Nov and might win seats and the chances of a Palin like candidate winning in 2012 isn't very unlikely. And the same people who support the Teaparty are for the most part Palin supporters but like I said before, you need support outside of districts in the south, mid west, etc.. to become President.

The problem with the Americans is that they think there's a "quick fix" for the situation they're in...
Their previous government had 8 years to fuck up the country, do they really think they can fix all that in under two?
Fuck I was really hoping we could all ignore Sarah Palin and the Palins', and maybe they'd just go away.
Obama never had a chance from the get go, a lot of the darker side of America wanted to see him fail.
I give him props for making decent moves with the recent Financial Reform that just passed today, the Republicans are a terrible lot. Problem is, they know how to fan the flames, people in the South are starting to show those skeletons in the closet again. The word Facist and Socialism are the new ways of calling Obama a nigger, these people couldn't find what these words really meant in a frigging dictionary.
I hope Sarah Palin runs, if you think that woman has a shit hole chance in hell of winning, you are out to lunch. The Republicans would be throwing their chance if she is the front runner, Obama will get his second term. She will be ripped appart for leaving her spot as Governer if she ever tries to run. If the slightest chance she did become president, I don't know if I would laugh or cry, it would certainly prove the decline in any sort of intellectualism people had in the States at one time.
