no tax on cancellation fee right?

Apple Store = $779 + tax = $872

Save $113.12 by going with Rogers LOCKED phone?

Why do you need to cancel your data??

thanks for the update..at least i won't have to rush it out there after my appointment...i picked up the 16 yesterday but after loading some music on it, i'm already down to 10 gigs so i think it's going to be too small for me!! time to upgrade!

I believe oakridge received around 80+ 32gigs, no 16gigs.

the Apple store staff came to tell us that they were sold out at 10 am. There was about 50+ people lining up already when I arrived.
So if it take 30 min each then I think the last should have his phone just before the store close tonight. Some ppl are sticking around after the last guy and hope that there are extra. Waiting how many hours then still no phone, G/L I'll try again on another day.

Szeto 08-04-2010 09:26 AM

what's the rush? there's plenty to go around in a month ... :P

vash13 08-04-2010 09:38 AM

Don't even bother coming to pacific center the line up it out the mall into the streets. They don't say how many is in stock. I am using the iPad at the store to update you people lol.

Armind 08-04-2010 09:45 AM

Meowjin 08-04-2010 10:35 AM

isnt the data cancel only $100?

metal 08-04-2010 11:45 AM

At least you guys have a better chance than I do on the island. Rogers guy told me that every store on the island has been wiped clean since the first shipment on Friday, and they don't think the second shipment is coming until next week.

I think plans signed before last year had an ECF of 100, they changed that amount to 200 after a certain time.

Hondaracer 08-04-2010 01:01 PM

So places like wirelesswave etc obviously have none in stock

Is there a waitlist we can go on somehow?

Szeto 08-04-2010 01:38 PM

I am just waiting until the white ones are available ... or by then there are new droid phones :D if only the retina display is available for droids... aw....

Harvey Specter 08-04-2010 01:39 PM

I gave my name at wireless wave in Oakridge, the guy said he would call me when they get a shipment but it's going to be first come, first served.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. I don't see the big deal of having to have the coolest gadget day 1 or within a few days of release. If this was limited edition then maybe but for something that everyone can get 1 month or 6 months down the road, its all the same shit to me.

ecsw 08-04-2010 01:55 PM

wait a minute. so if u get hold of it from apple store, it's unlocked, is it? apple store process Rogers/Fido HUP too?

these questions have been answered a few times in this thread already.

pay 600+ and its unlocked, to get it cheaper (with carrier) = locked. Apple does contracts and HUP for all carriers

gilly 08-04-2010 02:36 PM

just waiting for the white one.

you'll have a better chance of getting it through apple than your carrier.. I'm stuck at work or else i'd go line up everyday.. my phones broken

stuff99 08-04-2010 05:48 PM

You guys can just order it online via apple.ca

3 week wait though.
