Apple is selling it unlocked while any carriers selling it will be locked.

meh.. i'll probably sign another minimum priced plan and get one and flip it on ebay ~ i still have $1500+ credit on my account lol.. worse case is i'll cancel the contract.. and short 500 credit  at least i can do it 3x | |

Prices for iPhone 4's are $659 for 16GB and $779 for 32GB

Are they gonna only sellt he iphone4 to new customers that will sign a 3yr contract or customers that will buy the phone at fullprice? I remember last year for the 3gs, because of high demands they didn't let certain customers get a hardware upgrade.
Could be wrong though.

well most stores will only sell the new iphones to the people that are looking to flip to another company since they get the more commission on that rather than upgrading you ($2-$5 dollar commission). The sad thing is people are willing to do anything in order to get themselves into an iphone
