work fido sucks. They stack contracts. I always thought every company stacked until my friend told me that for rogers and telus you just start off with 3 years again.

Quick question, I'm on Fido with a 2 year plan started March 04 2009 with my contract ending March 4, 2011. I called Fido about my reduced pricing on i4, and they said I'm eligeable for 159/249. My question is, is there any way I can renegotiate my contract? I'm paying 72$ after taxes with the following breakdown:

200/1000/E/WE+ Unlimited incoming - $25
5PM Early Evening - $6
Unlim Text - $10
2,500 Call forwarding - $3
6GB - $30
Monthly Credit - -$10

I know its not terrible, but I feel like I'm paying a little too much. If i can just get unlim MMS added i would be happy

i kept threatning to jump to rogers because i feel its so unfair that our plans are stacked, and not renewed. she tried to call my bluff once but i was giving her the go ahead, than she said helped me take off unlim inc (which was bundled with my 200/1000 weekend) which reduced my bill from 75 to 64.

a co-worker just brought a ip4 to work, its the first time i held one. i am very impressed with the speed and clarity of the screen.

BTW get your SHSH's backed up in Cydia cuz apple plugged the JB hole already.

What's the real point in backing up your SHSH? Cant you just NOT update your iphone when it asks you to?

I backed mine up already, but just curious.

word, ive used it a couple times in rogers and fido stores and it's pretty fuckin sweet, everything works so nice/fast and load times for the camera/video are non-existant

edit* what time does PC open at? after next week i'm off for a while and figure i might as well roll down there in the morning to try and get one

If you have a problem and have to restore your phone, then apple will force you to get the latest software which as of today is 4.0.2. You can't install an older software.

Not true.

All you need to do is google up old ipsw versions and download them. Then in itunes, press shift + restore and then select that file and done!

That won't work. You need to go through the Apple server to downgrade or something, and they won't let you downgrade. If you have your SHSH on file, than it's routed through cydia and they pretend to authenticate you to let you downgrade. Im pretty sure i didnt explain it very well, but someone back me up here..

Shift+restore totally works. I did it with my 3G when i wanted to restore it.
Just put the phone into recovery mode then download the ispw and it works. As long as you are not DOWNGRADING it works.

Backing up SHSH is still the best way out. But just thought Id share incase ppl wanna know.

Does anyone here or know of anyone that works at any apple stores that can give the ppl here on RS a heads up on whether or not they got new iPhone4s in stock the morning of? @PC or @Oakridge

It sucks to see ppl line up from 5am and then be told they didnt get any phones at like 9am.

Say what you want about apple but these guys know how to sell a phone lol... fucking ridiculous.
