I just went to 3 fidos and 2 wireless waves.. still no stock.. I called fido and they ran out in retentions?!! I just want a new phone... mine is freezing and lagging so baddd

I called up fido retentions yesterday at approx. 10:30am and the representative advised it was in stock and did a HUP for me. I called in a couple hours later to ask about the confirmation email and a seperate representative confirmed it was in stock and that my order has been submitted.

Today I still have not received any e-mail confirmation so I called up retentions again and they advised the phone is now out of stock and apparently was "backordered" and the order has been rejected so they have cancelled the HUP.

Hence the reason why some of you may not have been receiving your confirmation emails.

what about those who has already received the confirmation email.. wonder if those can be rejected

There are 2 confirmation emails

One is Order Confirmation
Second is Shipment Confirmation

I received both on the same day I placed my order August 16th, It's being delivered to my house as we speak August 18th,... woot!!!!!! amazing order/delivery time...

they received the email and received a tracking# from UPS means they already confirmed the shipment

much earlier than you expected, try to look at the shipper at your package label, probably from 5960 ferguson road richmond or Langley

yea i got my confirmation 9:00 am yesterday but no shipping confirmation yet... hopefully mine didn't get rejected after the fact... my fido dollars are all gone tho

my friend got confirmation without shipping confirmation too

well i'm not in a huge rush i'll give it till end of today... i just don't want to be rejected like fox1096 there

same. i got the confirmation email not long after ordering, but still waiting for the shipping info. this new info about them being backordered isn't making me feel too great :rolleyes:

however, intel from fido store employee say there will be large shipments to retail stores next week, im assuming it should be the same for rogers. i just hope ours get delivered before they are heavily stocked up so that we actually get ours before theirs + us waiting :(

expect shipments to rogers retail stores next week, and if retail stores are getting large shipments i'm sure apple stores will get even more (apple always gets shipments before retail stores)

It looked like the Fido in Metro had iPhone 4's. I saw a guy picking up his iPhone 4 this afternoon when I was going there to get a PAYG card for a friend coming to visit.

Hopefully Rogers will get their iPhone 4's in stock soon too. The new job is issuing iPhones and apparently they can't get any phones for a few weeks so I'm phone-less until then. (well, I'm going to use the PAYG card I got my buddy until he gets here)
