The line up at oakridge was allowed into the mall at around 6am. There's about 80-100 ppl in line and I'm around 25. Apple employees are in the store but haven't come out to say anything yet.

Are the iphone 4's that you can purchase at the apple stores in the States the same as the ones in Canada (in terms of being sold unlocked and can be used on the fido network)?

Any difference between the ones sold in Canada or the US?

you'll need to jailbreak your iPhone if you get it from the states because every iPhone sold in the USA is locked to AT&T. Other than the carrier lock, they all have the same spec.

You are wrong. You can go do other stores such as verizon and purchase the iphone without a contract. They are selling it for 599 without contract. However I am pretty sure they are still locked though.

Woo got one! Though I'm in Victoria... Snagged the 2nd of 3 32GB that one of the rogers stores in a mall got in. Phew.

fucking fido store bitch.. I lined there for an hour for nothing.. she saw 10-12 of us standing beside the store along the Coach wall and didn't say anything to us.. after a long time someone finally went up and asked why she was making us wait and she said theres no shipment today when clearly we saw her checking in some iPhones in boxes half an hour ago.. but she said those weren't for sale. I called before I went and the nicer girl told me theres around 7 people lining up and told me that there was a chance that would be a shipment today so I went.. but the skinnier girl at that fido store is a straight bitch.. she was clearly aware that we were all waiting for the iPhone..
Today was my third day in a row going cuz when I went on Wednesday the manager said there should be a shipment in either thursday or friday but he wasn't there for the past two days.. instead I got served by that bitch.
