Keep in mind that while asian has a huge demand there are also source coming from all over the world. Europe, US, Australia, Japan, not to mention it can be software unlocked now making the supply even less tight

My manager sold 4 iphones and 1 ipad, he made like $1500cdn profit :drool

Man so I was thinking of ordering a bunch online and selling it to Asia but I dunno if I wanna risk that the market demand will still be as high in 3 weeks time.... :(

HonestTea 08-23-2010 07:48 AM

are u able to do hardware upgrades on the apple store online??

DanHibiki 08-23-2010 01:13 PM

The only way for my to upgrade right now with fido is if I pay a penalty to cancel my old one and then switch to the new 3 yr old.

Do I have an leverage at all in working out a good deal? By the looks of it I don't think so :(

My friend has the legacy city fido plan with Fido but he didn't qualify for a iphone 4 upgrade and he was told that he needed to pay the full amount. He told the CRR that he was going to cut his data and all his other additonal packages and only keep his old city fido plan and go with Rogers because they were offering a better 3 year plan and the iphone at the new customer price. Fido decided to give him the iphone 4 and even lowered his bill to $15/per month because I think they combined some of his packages. I might try this but I don't know if it'll actually work.

Went to Oakridge today to pick one up was told they were sold out (even the 16g and 8g), sales rep told me to call back tomorrow to check for stock status. What you guys think? Order online (says 3 weeks eta) or just try my luck calling over the next few days?

Nope buying unlocked version with no contracts from apple.

highfive 08-23-2010 10:59 PM

My iphone has been shipped. I ordered it from Apple's website on the 8th. So it's around a week early.

DanHibiki 08-24-2010 03:57 AM

Any word on fido retention getting some?

I'm pretty much relying on them.

I was wondering for those who got one from Fido, are you guys actually calling them really frequently to check whether they have stock or not? Every time I call their 1877 number, they immediately ask me whether or not I'm a customer or representative and get all confused. And some of the retention reps seems very pushy telling me they won't send phones out:(

I read hofo and only call Fido once last week when I saw someone got it from retention.

They are also talking about new policy that no more iphone from retention until retail demand is filled, which is a very very bad thing......

glad I got mine already. :D

So are CR's at Roger's stores still holding out on phones for new customers?

Thinking of switching to Roger's so I can get one easier

HonestTea 08-24-2010 02:00 PM

stuff99 08-24-2010 02:08 PM
