ARG! Just called and they said they were out of stock. I called customer service this morning and they wouldn't put me through to retentions!

WTF...
They fucked something up..
my data on my current bb is now not working...
My guess is they switched my BB data to iphone data since i upgraded to the iphone... Thats BS do they think I can go the next 3-5 business days without data to my BB?

Argh so frustrating! And now there's a 30 minute hold for technical support.

UPDATE: yea so if anyone else is doing this upgrade, make sure they dont switch your data right away otherwise your BB is SOL...Ask them to leave ur bb data as is until your new iphone arrives, at which time you can call into them and tell them to switch it over.

its a code you tell to add called "APN3CON"

im not sure if you can get a iphone plan and add it on.. i heard you can with a blackberry plan and add it on

first she tells me "you know, these upgrades are only done in store, we dont do them over the line"

me - "umm ok thats why multiple people have phoned in and got them? and i'm linig up at fucking rogers outlets that are taking names down and making it so i'll never get one? what kind of BS is that? thats the way you guys treat an 11 year customer?"

her - hmm ok i think we may only have the 16 gig in stock, let me check

comes back and it's all done and being shipped out lol

i called retentions like 8 times within the lsat 2 days

they said they have none in stock

other reps told me that the ones you get delivered/shipped from fido/retentions are for "chosen/selected" customers.. what kinda BS is that

I just called. Was on hold for a couple of minutes and now one is being shipped out and I should have it in 2-5 business days.

I also got charged the $35 activation fee. Is everyone here paying that?

Yeah they put the code back on so that i now have the data...
I just need to call in once I get my iphone so they can remove the code...but maybe I wont bother.

As for missing BBM, nope...

Only because I'm keeping my BB and throwing a $15/month data only plan on it hahaha

im preety sure the bbm code works with the iphone as well

just not the other way around.

im getting the 6gb iphone data package, but i want to be able to switch between my BB/iphone

hopefully they let me use the bb data instead of the iphone since i have no data plan atm.

i dident see nowhere in the fine print about which data plan you need to sign up for to get the iphone

People started to line up at Oakridge again right now
there's about 10 people in line in front of the store.

Over heard the sales talking to the people and said they'll be called in from the line when there's iPhone available for sale.

were you with fido or rogers?

fido rep had no idea wtf i was saying about APN3CON, and told me he was never trained in it nor his supervisor had no clue.

also said that if it wasent offered on the fido.ca website then i cannot do it.


im thinking once i get my new plan ill just tell them to leave it on BBM DATA instead of iphone data... even though im renewing my contract with data for the iphone lol

that way.. im hoping i can switch my sim out and use both no problem
