Go another e-mail Thursday from Rogers saying my order was backordered. And all it showed was the SIM card on my order. I'm like WTF so I call up Rogers again and ask them - they tell me it's the phone that's backordered, not the SIM, and they have no idea when they will get stock in. So I bitch and say I could have had a Telus or Bell iPhone by now instead of waiting for the Rogers ones.

Two hours later I get an e-mail saying my two iPhones and SIM cards are being shipped, and got my UPS tracking number too. :)

^^ That actually makes me curious... obviously Roger's stock of iP4's are pretty low, but how are the stock levels with Telus and Bell? I'm at a point with Rogers where I really do need a new phone and am actually unfortunately starting to get really antsy about how they're not releasing anymore information about the Captivate's release date. I *could* order an iP4 and go that route, but I'll still be waiting a while for it to arrive.

Oooooorrrrr, I could simply cancel my contract and just go through Telus, and theoretically pick up a phone right away, no?. I'll admit I haven't really gone through a lot of their plans, but they seem to be basically on par with Rogers.

The way I understand it is that if you want to get a Iphone 4 you have to have a data plan and sign a contract... so If i wanted to switch back to my old plan how long do I have to wait?

I was looking for an iPhone for a really long time too and rogers retentions couldn't do anything. But I luckily found one at PNE, of all places.......

I found mine at wireless wave in the Richmond location. Give those places a try.

Found mine today at the second TELUS store I checked at. Slim pickings regardless of where you look, but I'd bet one would have better luck with the chains like Wireless Wave or Booth.

Why? The Dev Team said they don't want to crack this version because it does nothing but close the jailbreak hole. They'll jailbreak the next version of iOS...which you can update to when it comes out.
