Apparently both fido and rogers have been consistent at getting iphones on wednesdays. So if we failed at apple (which we did), this was our backup plan.

One of the 2 SIM cards I bought from Rogers didn't work (it was apparently already linked to another phone).

So had to go back to Rogers at lunch today and get another SIM.

4:30 at work today and I get 2 more UPS packages - my SIM cards, one in each package. :(

if you're lucky and it was actually shipped out today then friday you'll get it..

lined up at 3am at Pacific Centre. me and my friend were 2nd and 3rd in line. then wen the apple people came around 8 the dude in 1st left because the person he was holding the line for didn't show up. so i was 1st place by default yeeow.
i was activated and out of there by 840. tooo goood.

I would have just waited till Rogers got one. With Rogers, almost everyone can get a discount on an iPhone when a new one is release anytime during their contract. With Telus you have to wait till your contract is almost up before you get a discount on a new phone. This is also another reason why Telus and Bell still have iPhone4 available and why Rogers are so hard to find. So when Apple release a new iPhone next year probably called the iPhone4S or something, you can't upgrade with Telus while almost everyone on Rogers can.

Yea my buddy who's dad was super high up at telus had some crazy plan and like family retentions thing and he's had his curve for like 1.5 years and the telus guy said even for him there is no possible way to re-up on a 3 year deal until he has under 6 months remaining and even then it wasn't going to be the 159 price, he said with 2 years remaining he would get $150 off the 699 price

Apple store iPhone 4's are unlocked out of the box.

got off the phone with rogers retention(1-866-304-4248) 10 minutes ago and was able to get 32 gig...no 16 gig though

What plan did you end up getting and how much?

The first thing I asked is if they had stock and the lady said "yes". Then she asked me for my number to check my file. She noticed that I was only eligible for a regular upgrade or something like that, I guess because I still have over a year left on my contract, but because she already told me they had stock she couldn't lie. This is my second time calling today, the first time I called I was told they didn't have any stock. It has alot too do with the person your dealing with, whenever I called before I would get a guy, this time I got a women who was really friendly, she even wished me Happy Birthday when she asked me for my date of birth. The best thing to do is to keep on trying, I tried at least a dozen times before I got lucky, and make sure you call retentions directly.
