my friend has been calling and getting turned down each time

after calling fido twice a day for 2 weeks

i always called fido retentions line direct ( since i already had a contract offer )

and always said "hi how are you, i was wondering if you have any iphones4 in stock) and if they said no i would say my friend called a few hours ago and got one ( if people on revscene said they had some lol)

if they say no i usually ask if they know when they will any in stock(usually don't)... then i just try again later on in the day lol

I always call retentions directly. if they ask where I got the number I just tell them a CSR gave it to me

I had a really bad experience with retentions today. I recently bought an iphone 4 along side my friend who signed up for a new contract. I was on my own contract and did a renewal . When I talked to retentions in the store they said they would give me the iphone 65 plan + free caller Id. The store representative said that my friend was getting 100 mins and free after 6pm. I said am I getting the same iphone 65 plan as her but with the caller Id and he said yes.

Now I checked my bill and I dont have the 100 mins or the free after 6, so I got the short end of the stick in terms of value, when the whole time they were telling me I had the better deal.

They wont budge at all because they said I didnt read the contract good enough and that it doesnt even matter what the store representative told me or wrote down on the pamphlet infront of me ( he wrote free after 6pm on the pamphlet )

I said I would like to cancel my contract because I didnt get what I signed up for and they said go ahead but you will have to pay or your credit will be screwed up. So they canceled me.

Anyone know if theres anything I can do to get out of this or am I screwed? I feel like telus is falsely advertising to their customers with these store reps, and then saying that they are not responsible for what the rep said at all, they say only what they say over the phone is what matters. Something seems fishy to me.

The line up starts outside the security door just beside Kin's Farm. You can't enter the mall until 6:00am so I would suggest you dress warm and bring a chair.

That sounds fucked up. With Fido/Rogers your complaints are usually respected and rectified

is the earliest entrance for PC across London Drugs, where they sell coffee and have chairs to sit?

EDIT if they still won't budge. Transfer your phone number over to Fido/Roger/Wind. My friend did that. He wants telus to give him some good package coz he been with them for like 4years and telus basically told to fuck off in a nice. Next day he transfer his number from telus to Rogers and telus call him right back with a killer deal. Competition in the cell phone industry is pretty competive these days so don't let them push you around.

Tell them the call is being reocrded on your end and you would to speak to a supervisor/manager about this. Before you ask this take down their names and their employee ID number. If they say supervisor is on lunch let them know that you know for a fact that a supervisor have to be on the floor at all times(this is true). And you would like to make a complain.

Make sure you got the rep's full name or their employee ID. Uusally after some teeth pulling the would A. give you the plan that's promise or transfer you to the higher ups which they will fix it for you. Don't let them push you around. When you speak to them don't swear or sound angry. But don't be too nice as well. Stand your ground with and don't back down!

rk604 09-09-2010 11:45 PM

^^^
that is true...no point of getting angry, its not gonna get you anywhere. Be nice, stand your ground and don't accept the first offer unless its good :p

So if I go to say rogers and say I want to transfer my phone number, wont it be too late to go back to telus at that point? Wouldnt I have to setup a contract with rogers?

Mr.HappySilp 09-10-2010 06:13 AM

nope u have like. 10 days or so to cancel your contract with rogers.

Hondaracer 09-10-2010 10:34 AM

When they tell you they have stock that's your in

Basically argue and say all these people online are calling the exact same number and they are getting them so why would a customer such as yourself be treated differently

Who's going to line up at Richmond Center tonight for the grand opening of the Apple Store tomorrow? I'm sure they would have lots of iPhone4 for the grand opening otherwise they would look stupid with none in stock for the first day.
