i placed an order on an iphone 4 today thru retentions around 2:30pm!
on and off the phone just under 5 minutes and have an order placed now. can't wait!

Placed an order for it yesterday and retentions said it may take as long as Oct 8. My question now becomes, if it comes after sept 30, do we not get free bumpers anymore even though we ordered before sept 30th?

wat time do apple store open? no chance i can get one before 8am rite? lol i gave up getting one on retention ~ they only offered me the 16gb.. rather lineup to get a 32

i'm in the exact same boat. just wondering if i can still get the bumper if my phone comes AFTER 30th even though technically i bought it today.

from what i gathered you will still be eligible to receive a free apple bumper but not the 3rd party ones that are now available. so you are still able to receive a bumper, just not much variety

I just spoke with Rogers retentions and they got a shipment in today. They have both 16 & 32's in stock right now.

Regarding the bumpers, I was told that when you get your phone you need to download an app to see if you are eligible and if you are, apple will send you one. If you do not have this completed by the end of September, you are SOL.

^^ Dammit. I was on hold with Retentions for an hour this evening before I had to hang up from a dying battery. Maybe I'll wake up early tomorrow and call right away to try and get one. Figure I'll buy a 32gb and flip it once the SGS comes out.

If I order one from retentions and upgrade 1 of 4 lines. Can I use the phone + microsim on another line? Or is the microsim going to have the phone number I upgraded with on it.

im pretty sure you can use it on another line as long as they don't touch the micro sim that comes with the phone. otherwise SOL.

But either way I would need a microsim for my line if I am to use the iphone4 right?

I am thinking about doing that but for a Bellus version Vibrant. After awhile, I do think the Captivate is ugly compared to the other one, and I like the idea of a front camera.

Oh yeah, I called around 2 pm today and was given the choice of 16 or 32 gigidty.

A couple of co-workers called in the morning and was told there was no phones, and then they called again after I told them about my call. Not sure if they got the phone as it was quitting time and I was itching to leave.

they have to speak with retentions and not customer service to get the iPhone over the phone. I was told by CS that they no longer offer hardware upgrades over the phone and only offer them in-store. 20 minutes later I had Retentions confirming my new iPhone would be sent to me in the next couple of days. Go figure.

ON hold with ROGERS 'customer relations' NOW....

damnit.. was told they were OUT!..no stock!!! 7:42am tues

for all the people who ordered phones from retentions, how long did it take you to get a email confirmation about the phone or the shipment?
and on top of that, if they say they have stock, should i be expecting it the end of this week? or should i not keep my hopes up and be expecting a delay like next week?

Got a free iphone4 today! No joke.

Long story. Ordered 20 iphone4 on Apple.com in Aug. All of them arrived at my doorstep by courier, except one that I have to pick up at a warehouse. By mistake or something, they thought the package was misplaced, until 2 weeks ago, they called and asked me whether I've received A PACKAGE or not, I was like "what are you talking about, what package?" and they hanged up right away. Then last week, apple store emailed me a shipping notice without any dollar amount or item description on it, I ignored, I thought it was for the free bumper.

This morning, a package from Foxconn China and surprise surprise, it's my 21st iphone4.

Grrrr, wtf did you guys tell Retentions in order to get a phone? I've talked with two different reps and they were both adamant that they never send out phones. Hell, I even talked to a regular CSR out of frustration. :lol

Even though I just renewed today, I think I'm going to call in on my lunch break and use the "I feel like I've been lied to card, so I'm cancelling my services" card.

Unless you guys have a better idea...

Is that with fido or rogers?
