you can transfer the sim contacts yourself. First copy all of you contacts from your old sim to your old phone (if thats possible), Then activate your new sim which is the same size if you dont rip the top part out. Put the new sim into your old phone with the top part still attached, and copy the contacts back to the new sim. Then take the sim out and rip off the top part so it becomes the micro-sim. Then put it back into the new Iphone 4 and you should have your contacts in the new sim. |
I ordered my phone through fido retentions on tuesday, received my order email almost immediately. But up until now (4days) , still no email from UPS with tracking info. Is this normal with fido? |
ok, i have a huge problem, Rogers CSR ordered my iphone thru HUP. But he never asked me about signing a data plan contract. Can I still activate my iphone without data?..... if not, i should call them back before October 5th to get the $30 for 6gb If i can activate it without data, then i will take my time to milk them a good data deal like $25 for 6gb or somethign similar |

well the reason you can get the HUP price of 159 or 269 depending on which one is because you renewed ur phone plan + data for 3 yrs. the system automatically adjust the price of the phone if no 3yr term data is found. why it's $200 is because if you were to get a 3yr data contract and cancel it rite away it's gonna cost you $200 cancellation fee. |

not 100% sure but don't iphones carry a heftier cancellation fee? I know for sure contract cancellation is more expensive, but not too sure about data. |
I checked with Rogers, to cancel data is $5 per month for remaining months up to a max of $100, or minimum $25 penalty. |
has anyone recently had any luck getting iphone4s through Rogers Retentions? If so, post it so we all know if they have stock at that moment. Thanks. |
Is this normal? They attempted to deliver twice within two hours? I thought they usually do one delivery per day? So they said 3rd delivery is tomorrow, do you think I can phone in to see if I can pick it up? Isn't it usually available for pick up after the second delivery attempt? |
I thought if you weren't available to pick it up the first time, they would deliver it to your nearest postal office an you would have to go pick it up yourself with the door hanger info they give you. Posted via RS Mobile |
Nope, that's not how UPS works. IT needs to have a 3rd delivery. Also, the fucking retention rep shipped it under my mom's name even though I called and got the phone on my line with MY name on it. Apparently I can't sign for it because they fucked it up and used my moms name. They won't even allow for it if my mom arranges it with them for me to pick up. And just so happens my mom is on vacation until Saturday so I won't be able to do shit until Monday. Piece of shit UPS. |
It shouldn't matter who's name it's under. I sign for packages that aren't mine and vice versa from Fedex, Purolator, CP, UPS, etc. Did UPS change policies or something or is this a residential thing? |
UPS let my wife sign for both iphone4's that were delivered today. |
Oh, no, anyone can sign if its delivered to your house, but only that person can go pick it up from the depot. Even if my mom calls in and authorizes me for pick up, the person said no. I would sit at home and wait for it, but I have a friend's convocation at 945 tomorrow at SFU, and I also have a midterm at 230. |
