I'm shocked people are still lining up @ Apple Stores :(

hey how do you know if a store is getting a shipment, or is it just pure luck?

was planning to go at like 8am to rc/oakridge/broadway to see if i can upgrade to a 16gig =.=

you pretty much line up and pray that they get a shipment or else you go home empty handed :lol

What time does the Apple store let people in for iPhones?

Pacific Center and Richmond Centre?

hm, where would there be a better chance to get one IF they get a shipment, few pages back some guy said oakridge had alot!

At oakridge, roughly 20th in line, people at the front with sleeping bags, crazy

wireless wave at robson had some but by the time i got there they were out of stock.
ive sorta given up calling in the afternoon to check on the apple stores for stock.

im so fed up maybe i'll just go grab a samsung galaxy first :@....

they come unlocked at the store, and then they lock it to your courier

Just went to Oakridge, asked the guy at the front if theirs any iPhone 4 and hes like Heh....umm... then I told him I'm looking for an unlocked one and hes like "hmm okay, hold on let me see if we still have any left"

how do you talk to retentions? I just renewed contract but I can't get my hands on an iphone.
i think last time i mentioned retentions to the CSR I got some "???????" response

I'm not sure if this would work for you, but it worked for me. I asked if the CSR had any iphone's in stock, and they would say they don't have the power to do so. I then mentioned that my friend had recently ordered a phone through retention, so I asked politely if they can transfer me to the retention department to see if they could help me.

I guess I had more leeway back then because there were less stock going to the apple stores, but after getting to retentions, I told the rep that people were still lining up at 6am for the phone, and some people even after lining up were not able to get a phone. My rep was nice enough to order one for me.
