mine through retentions jsut got shipped. Don't know if I want to keep it because they also sent me a brand new 9700 to replace my broken (and according to the IMEI) illegally purchased (bought off craigslist) bb 9700.

You still have to line up to get one. If they have some, then you won't have to line up to buy it.

Just to let you all know, dont bother lining up. Call at 8 30 am in the morning and they will take a reservation for when you want to go in to purchase if you want one on contract.

If you are buying one outright, simply walk in, plenty in stock.

Oakridge had them every time I went in.

Ordering a 3GS or a iPhone 4 on Apple's HK site is not "unavailable" WTF is up with that? lol

Smugglers were buying them and smuggling them into China. Cause even when it says 2 per customer, that means you can buy 2 per order so people were making like 50 orders and Apple decided to crack down on this.

If you want to get an iPhone 4 (HARDWARE UPGRADE), go line up at the Apple Store in Richmond on sunday morning.

The store opens at 11am.

You can enter the mall from the Old Navy entrance, or just enter from the closest entrance from Apple , which is the Tim Hortons entrance.

Last Sunday I went to line up at Apple on Sunday, I got there at 930am with a lawn chair in hand. There were 20 people there by 930am.

By 1030am the Apple employee came out to make appointments for us for later in the day (because hardware upgrades take 30+ mins each).

My appointment was set for 2pm, and i got the phone that day.

Keep in mind, Apple Richmond only does about 25-30 appointments for hardware upgrades a day.


Apple stores MOST LIKELY have TOOONS of iPhone 4's in stock. The problem is that hardware upgrades take so long to do, so thats why its hard to get it.

But go there sunday morning by 930am and you will for SURE get one.
