There is enough stock, just not enough time to sign everyone up when doing a HUP.

My wife and I are planning on lining up for the Iphone4 tomorrow at Oakridge. Upgrading thru Fido.
Where is the closest entrance to the apple store and what time should we be there?
I know the store opens at 9:30... Would being there by 8am be early enough?

i went at 815, about 30th in line, park by kin's farm market, go inside turn left, you'll see the bay

^ Going at 8am will be alright, you will probably be around 10th in line. I went at 6am about a week ago. Was first and by 8am, there were almost 10 people behind me.

The security bay entrance is, if looking at the main entrance on the kins side, is on the left of the main entrance. Just keep walking along to building until an automatic door opens up. Then you go in through the door down the hallway, turn right, then left, then you will be in the mall, then turn left.

My friend walked into the Apple store downtown at 4pm and got it. No line ups.

Was there around 7:15am, third in line... When they opened at 9:30 they announced that they only got 32gb models in... We were not bout to leave empty handed so we just went for it. When we started the contract renewal we found out we had $302.00 in Fido dollars!
Essentially only had to pay for one phone.

@jhxb, If you just want to buy one full price without a contract you can just walk in and be guaranteed to get one anytime

i can't believe people are still waiting. i got mine a few days after launch day and i was annoyed that I had to wait 15 minutes LOL

I'm planning to head over to pacific centre apple store tmr morning. They open at 10am so would i still be able to get a HUP if i arrive around 11ish. To anyone that's done this before please enlighten me. TIA

So someone I know left their phone at the gym and ended up getting it back but the fuckers locked the phone so now they can't use it. They took it into rogers but they don't know how to get the user their access back.. Can someone please help. Thanks :)

Doing a restore should reset the password.

If you get there by 11 and they do have time to book an appointment for you it might not be untill much later till you get to do it

As Ronin says restoring it will reset the password. But since you don't know the passsword, it might not let you do a restore from backup. You might have to restore as new phone by putting the phone in DFU mode. After you do that then you can restore from one of your backup.

just talked to FIDO retentions and they have a lot of iphone4s... 16gbs and 32gbs... they're shipping me one today and should get it within this week

ya 100mb might not be enough for me but the guy did tell me that $25 would be the max they charge as long as i stay under 1gb a month.. so my monthly plan would be $35-$50 max as long as i stay under 1gb

So if I'm doing a HUP, what's a good place to go to right now in the current state of things?

did you deal with retentions or was a normal csr able to help you?

I assume right now its first go to Apple store to get reservation, then wait till your reservation comes to activate phone. Do they open the packaging at all?

If you are first in line when they do reservations you get the early one, I got 10am (they open 9:30am). Also they ask if you want to activate it or do it at home. If you say home they will not open it.
