For people considering to HUP to an iPhone 4 or any smartphone through Fido, now would be the time to do it. According to the person I spoke too, after Dec. 1st, you must have a monthly plan of $50 before you can upgrade to a smartphone.

Went to RC at about 9:50am this morning to register for iPhone HUP. Guy said 30 people were in line this morning before store opening to get spot. Crazy.

On the other hand, he said there was plenty of stock, just not enough time.

Open itunes and connect the iphone.
Then put the phone in DFU mode. http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
Then restore as new phone
Once you done that you can restore from your backup if you want.

Fido retentions sent me my 32gb last week and I can't seem to unload it on craigslist even when I'm undercutting other sellers. Guess the demand isn't there anymore. Since the thing was nearly free, I'll be opening it up and using it as an iPod if it doesn't go by the end of next week. Was planning to sell it for an Archos 101 tablet... oh well

Im planning to go lineup at Pacific center apple store either this Saturday or Monday 1.5hours before the stores open. Will that be early enough to secure me a spot if i'm doing a HUP? Is saturday better or would monday be the better option?

30 mins before store open on a weekday should be fine.

How much you were asking? I laugh everytime I see ppl trying to sell their iphone for $750.

I've posted it below $700 and still no takers. Strange thing is, there's still plenty of postings for $750 and above that are still selling. Oh well..
