so whats going on is if you signed your contract before dec 31 of 2008, you are eligble to get the above pricing

however if sign up between dec and jun 7th, u r eligble for the 250 dollar deduction on the no contract pricing

I filed an official complaint about the resellers not allowing hups and only giving them to new contract signers, we'll see if it leads anywhere... All it took was a few minutes and hopefully Fido will send out a warning memo to all resellers and scare them into stopping their greediness and allow all customers equal access. Ill update the thread if they get back to me, supposedly within 24hrs but with the long weekend, im guessing a few days...

it's best if you write down which location and have evdience to proof they did such thing; fro instance camping there and saw a physical transcation of iphone being sold to a new customer rather than the hup

fido is aware of the situtation but there is no way they can prevent it from happening, and they have sent out mystery shopper to detect such foul play

got my iPhone 4 16GB @ Pacific Centre Apple store! hahaha..

used all my Fidodollars and got $250 credit from Fido and paid full price for 16GB. 3 year contract with $30/6GB dataplan..

according to the CSR that helped me, Pacific Centre has more iPhones than Oakridge..

Pacific Centre said that they are "sold out" as of now... but I have a feeling that there'll still be lineups tomorrow early in the morning and they will have more iPhones to sell according some insiders from iphoneincanada.ca :)

I hope there will be a steady flow of iphone4 in canada and lack of stocks in hk at least till the end of september :)

There were still some iPhone 4 today at Oakridge when they opened today and there were no line-up.

I didn't ask if they were reserved or not but there were definitely some legit iPhone 4 boxes behind the counter.

I first signed a 3 year contract voice plan during september of 2008. Then recently about 2months ago i changed it to a Data plan so i resigned another 3 years from then on. (At this time i haven't picked out my phone yet from the contract because i bought a blackberry through craigslist) I remember the sales person telling me that i was only eligible to choose my phone in september of 2010. Now my question is, if i want to get the iphone 4, do i pay the 259$ for the 32G or do i just get a price deduction off the no term price?

Yes,all Apple stores have full access to all carrier's servers and can activate on site.

Yes, Apple store can do everything that carrier retailers can do since they have full access to all carrier's servers. Apple store can also get all current deals and promotion for every carrier that is launching the iPhone4.

Apple sells both carrier locked and unlocked phones.

It is rumored that all the iPhone4's that Apple store carries are all unlocked until a carrier activation has been applied.

Yes, those are the base prices for customers opening up new plans.

I got lucky, and I don't think the rogers guy noticed that he charged me $159 instead of $399 for a 16GB iPhone 4. :thumbsup:

If i buy a locked phone and renew my contract at apple, will the phone ($159) be discounted with fido dollars ($140) at the spot and I just pay $19 + tax as if i were to get it a fido kioskÉ
