Well the ATT captivate was sold out within 3 weeks, the Bell one is almost all sold out, along with the HTC desire on telus. As you see, the Android invasion has started. Im just waiting for my turn to join the fun.

So I am not surprised that the Vibrant is sold out

Just called 20 random stores. Put myself on a waitlist at a local Bell store, I'm number 5. Maybe I'll be able to get a Vibrant next week... :(

Yeah, I was wondering what that's all about...

Basically if ur phone shits the ned outside of the manufacture warranty, you get a shitty replacement for free, or pay a stupid amount of money to replace that berry. Iphones are excluded. And taking the shitty replacement extends your contract by 1year

I'm thinking I should have just picked up the Captivate from the States when I was down there a couple weeks ago.
I was well past my 48 hours in OREGON.

ARGH.
I am just kicking myself now for having so much faith in rogers.
I was expecting to be holding a captivate by now.

^ No contract bought it outright. Actually it was cheaper then the other places, $498 :-P

Unlocked in a couple of minutes, using it on Rogers and loving it. Just going to use my HUP on the captivate or an ip4(when I can get one) and sell it. I'm actually really liking the vibrant. The styling is still nice, and having the front facing camera is actually a nice option to have.

Everything the iphone can't do, this does. First thing I did was load up a bunch of movies, and the complete Dexter series. Plays fine and looks awesome. No converting, no itunes.

The ONLY thing I miss, is Bejeweled Blitz :( C'mon PopCap Games!!

picked a new one up from craigs for $450!..now this thing blows the stupid x10 outta the water!

Went to the Costco on Production way and the dude said yes they would sell it outright, but they were out of stock. Gonna call around to different Costco's today to try and see if any other store has it in stock. Langley is a bit far for me to go take a look at. =(

Clock looks like Tajm and the battery is battsatt I believe.

People on hofo are saying there is a preorder now for Rogers until oct 17, which means the phone probably won't be released till oct 18. That's pretty damn disappointing if true.

BTW, anyone looking for a Bell Vibrant. I just got a call from the Bell in Walnut Grove(Langley), they just got a few in. I was put on a waiting list on Friday.

And they were going to sell you the phone outright? Or would you have to sign a contract?

Arggg. Some places that I have gone to want a contract signed.

I spent a good part of yesterday afternoon calling different places near downtown/chinatown and everyone said they were sold out. I found one at some shady looking place in Tinseltown but they wanted a contract to sell the phone. Some places like the Source and Best Buy only sell the phone with a contract since demand is so high on the phones.

For some strange reason this year, there is quite a bit of demand for the Iphone4 but it hasn't slowed the demand for the Galaxy. And there are a lot of people changing phones. In my work place, 9 iphone4's and 3 Vibrants this month alone. And there is 4 more poeple, including me, waiting to pickup a Vibrant or Iphone4. And we are talking about 40 people in 3 departments.

I live in Surrey so I'll probably try my luck at Surrey Central, Guildford and Langley today. I would really hate to push it to Abbotsford.

I have to admit, after converting a few friends to Bell's Vibrants and not even owning one myself, I am more determined than ever today! lol
