where did you find this pricing? |
The wireless page is not working but im guessing that is where you found it EDIT: now its working BUT for the captivate it does not seem you can buy it out without contract *A data plan is required with this device. *A New 2-Year Activation or 2 Year Qualified Upgrade is required for all handset purchases. however the vibrant does not mention that..... |

at costco... i got mine from there. Well it's in New York but it's the same at all the costcos. U have to sign up for a plan though, which you can call in to cancel right away. |

and the Captivate it is $150 USD + "New and renewing AT&T wireless customers who enter into a 1- or 2-year Service Commitment on or after June 1, 2010, and include certain specified equipment, have an ETF of $325, less $10 for each full month of Service Commitment completed. Otherwise the ETF is $150, less $4 for each full month of Service Commitment completed." so $475 + tax i guess.... its $500 to buy at At&t store.... |

i guess it's different with At&t. With Tmobile, i could just pay $480+tax for a vibrant and sign up for month to month plan which i can cancel with no penalty. Then i can cancel my month to month. Or if i wanted to sign up on a contract, it's $100 for the phone, then $200 early cancellation fee, so the phone woulda been $300. But the teller wouldnt sign me up because I wasn't american. btw, anyone knw what clock and weather widget is on this guy's homescreen? i know its on a N1 but i've seen it on galaxy s'. |
Beautiful Widgets. |
i just tried to pre-order this from rogers with 6GB data and a voiceplan but they turned me away and i'm a new customer. they told me that i need to take a phone now if i order the 6GB with it or else i forfeit my 3 year discount pricing on the hardware and won't be able to do another for 24 months. but then the people ordering on the website taking those other plans can activate now and wait for the phone without forfeiting the discount. REALLY!?!?! |
thats messed up? why do they have to make shit so complicated. Just sell the damn phone to everyone the same way. either everyone can pre-order or everyone waits until the release date. |

U can as long as you have Sense UI installed. Just install the HD Clock apk. |

Except it won't work on our local carriers. Blargh. That new Desire HD is the same deal. :( I'm tired of waiting on rogers, I'm getting mine shipped in from the states. After rogers continuously pissing me off, I'm glad I won't have their logo branded on the face of my phone. They don't deserve my free advertisement. |
^ But you are ok with at&t branding? haha |

If anyone is interested in a Bell Vibrant unlocked, I'm considering selling mine for $500. May use one of the iPhones I ordered through Rogers. |
I got my vibrant off craiglist yesterday yay! But kies is acting up - not recognizing my device. This will require some research >_< Other than that and the battery's life, so far so good! |

Took me SOOO long to found out whats wrong with it to connect the device. Seems to be different for everyone ... Mine was easily fix by switching to USB port at the back of the computer instead of the front! |
