I knew this shit was going to happen. Which is why I bit the bullet and shelled out the full $550 to get a SGS. Best of luck to all your Captivate seekers out there. |
This release is a joke... Posted via RS Mobile |
because of the shittiness of this whole fiasco, let's move onto the next galaxy, the S2. http://www.redmondpie.com/samsung-ga...ur-brains-out/ |
lol yeah right, the S2 coming to Rogers in 2015 |

The specs look pretty damn good for that phone. I may aswell hold out and pay that full price instead of getting the captivate. Stupid rogers.. |
so happy I didn't wait for Rogers... I'm in love with my T-mobile Vibrant. less "iphone clone" looking than the standard i9000/Bell Vibrant too |

The T-mobile version has all the AWS bands, UTMS AND the standard GSM bands |

Haha correct me if I'm wrong... not very good with the bands, I get confused by them all the time @.@ Regardless though, I CAN confirm that Rogers 3G IS WORKING on my T-Mobile Galaxy S... I use it everyday! So from entering the debug menu in my service menu... I can select the following (individually or "auto") WCDMA 2100 (FDD I) WCDMA 1900(FDD II) WCDMA 1700 (FDD IV) WCDMA 850 (FDD V) GSM 850 GSM 900 DCS 1800 PCS 1900 |

^ no. the tmobile vibrant supports all bands internally, it was sth that was hidden and not known to most users. u can change them like captain picard noted above |
Well I think its just because the galaxy had the hardware to begin with.you would have to check the technical specs of the desire or the n1 to see if the it supports the rogers 3g bands Posted via RS Mobile |
So... did you guys smell your phones yet? ;) I'm trying to get Launcher Pro Plus installed. I was able to do it before on the AT&T Captivate without a problem. - installed "homeswitcher" - used homeswitcher to choose "launcher pro" as my default. - was happy I've dl'd both to my rogers captivate, but neither are showing up in my apps list. And yes, both are from the Market. I was under the impression that I shouldn't need to root to install these? |

I smelled my phone the first day I got it... Smells better than the iphone 4 when I got it imo. I just have it a nice sniff today again when I put on my new case. Boy it still smells like new electronics Posted via RS Mobile |
Just got my Galaxy S Captivate today.... 1 question ~ How do i get Chinese input for this phone ?? |
^ pics or it didn't happen! Go to the android market... download "HanWriting IME" (note: not HANDwriting... but HANwriting) ... you can now select a keyboard when typing that does handwriting input (character recognition), or pinyin |
http://m.gizmodo.com/5676008/hands-o...two-by-samsung Considering I can't find a captivate anywhere I might wait and see if this phone holds true Nov 8th...definitely sounds solid, and no waiting for samsung to release updates would make it worth it alone Posted via RS Mobile |
