Damn....I've been looking into xda forum and some others.....i896 has very little support as i know now.

Dont wanna flash an ATT i897 into Rogers i896........heard that will have ATT split screen issue whatsoever.

Sigh......too little people own Rogers i896.
I don't even think Rogers will have 2.2 coming anytime within this year.

Rogers already said 2.2 wont be coming till sometime in 2011.

For the second time in a couple of days my phone has shut off by itself for no reason, fucking annoying.

Man...this is so bs.
Rogers already delayed captivate.
And now no new firmware update.

Anyone here has flashed AT & T's rom without any issue?

Anyone here has tried Cog Rom ? or any other custom rom with 2.2 ?? for i896

so which version does the bell vibrant update to fro 2.2?
I'm so clueless on this stuff..

Well that just sux.

just got it from HK. not working on fidos 3g network. is there a particular phone setting i have to tinker with to get it to work. note that i only today added 3g to my plan.

My SGS-Captivate already on Froyo with Custom Rom....
If you are on Stock Froyo....its still kinda laggy.

For real.....stock rom sux bad.
Try a custom rom, u guys will love it.
btw, Voodoo is better than oclf i would say.
A lot smooother...


Cappy can also flash into I9000 kernel and rom.

Did you make sure when buying that your version supports 850mhz 3G? If it doesn't then it sucks to be you.

phones from HK never supported north american 3G bands (hardware difference)
