I was just browsing the HD2 forum, looks like they got Gingerbread awhile ago! Damn I sold my HD2 thinking that the Galaxy S would get updates faster since the hardware is closer to the Nexus S...

Anyone else find it's kind of strange that the T-mo Galaxy S doesn't have much developer support?

So I'm trying to stream a radio station at work but I can't seem to figure out how. I have an .asx file but that format doesn't seem to be supported by android?

Anyone know how to stream asx files?

My swype keeps adding the word "divina" to my dictionary wtf? Sometimes when I swype "gonna" I get divina. I delete it, and fucking the next day it's back.

Have you updated to the new beta?
New beta is better, but still has dictionary pollution issues.

All this is supposed to be ironed out by their next release.

FUCK i lost my phone today. My mom called my phone and a guy named Doug picked up. She asked him if it would be okay after for me to call him and he said "sure". After that I tried calling him and he didn't pick up and turned off my phone. My phone has the a lock code on it so is it even possible for him to use it?

I only had this phone for less than 2 months.

ya password doesnt mean anything. He'll just go into recovery and reflash a rom. Free phone for him.

I know how you feel. I lost my first iphone that way. dropped outta my pocket and 2 mins later i realized and went back and it was taken and turned off. Did you buy it with a credit card? Most credit cards offer buy protection up to 90 days after purchase. If you loose/break/get stolen whatever you bought on the card, they'll refund your money. Need to file a police report and then call the CC company.

anyone have problem with wifi? I got signal and IP but can't seem to browse the web. it work ok in my house. but when I'm at work or friends house it just doesn't work.

ooh... it's $50 difference at telus so i thought many ppl would jump on it. i guess i'll search up a bit more too. i'm getting REALLY bored of my 9700 and i flash/upgrade all my friends' iphones. android is new and exciting to me =p

Did you manage to unlock it? What I found worked for me on my old HTC Magic, and my friends' Nexus Ones, was to answer a phone call, then while in the middle of the call, press the home button, then go into settings and disable the lock from there.

Worse comes to worst, you can do a factory reset which will wipe your phone, but you can at least get it to work (internal SD/external SD will be left intact).

If you can't manage to fix it lemme know.


If you can get it for cheap, it'll be definitely worth it. Resell when you've got a HUP, and in the meantime you'll have a sweet phone.

what about desire z? a bit heavier, but comes with a sliding keyboard

i've narrowed it down to the captivate, desire, desire z, or desire HD.

should I be aware of anything if i buy a used one from craigslist? i.e. will i have a problem with warranty if I bring a captivate to Rogers? seems someone was having trouble bringing back a galaxy S to bell 'cause they weren't a customer (i'm with Fido) and got the phone on CL.
