I really tried to like the GRB body style but I just couldn't even though I'm a HUGE hatchback/wagon fan. Now they give us this monstrosity!?! :rolleyes: I'm waiting for the redesign.

i remember back in 2007 when the hatch first debuted...everyone was calling it ugly..now they are trying to make the sedan again and everyone's calling this ugly.

same shit with the 370z...make up your mind people.
personally i think they are the rear end of both hatch and sedan is ugly...but the 2010+ hatch with the newer red tails are nice.

chill out. he's not comparing specs or anything. just how similar the back bumpers are. just like how everyone else is comparing the looks to a corolla or a kia.

the bottom portion of the bumper does resemble the bmw.

I've already seen 5 in the last two days... most of them had Alberta plates... the car is meh and really fucking ugly.

Its ok. Definately has potential after some mods. As for stock looks n such, id still take an 2010 EVO/STI hatch.

unlike the previous gen STIs where the car was built AS AN STI and then stripped down for the lesser models, this new one looks like plain shit - the wing looks like Subaru just went :troll: and slapped on a ricer-ebay wing. The whole damn thing looks riced. Hell if it wasn't for the STI badge and the Turbocharger it would be rice!

In other words:
Build a STI ----> turn it into a family sedan WORKS
Build a family sedan ----> turn it into a STI, and you get A STEAMING PILE OF TURD

Give me a break, that looks more similar than the stupid Corolla and Rio pics posted. The only thing the Corolla has in common is the chrome trunk, and the Rio has the same lights - yet lets look at the M5

How we forget how ugly this car was before. Bug eye headlights, ricer hood scoop, and ricer wing. Even the update with the better headlights was still awkward looking.

I agree with you taylor, the bug-eye wasn't exactly a looker, but at least the parts, IMO, fit the car.

As for the facelift (04+), I'm actually a big fan of that look. It looks ugly, in a very specific, very brutally powerful way

STi was never meant to look elegant..it's going for the aggressive appeal.
