Popeye's is the best I've had so far. Thick crunchy crust with juicy meat. Yes even better than Church's. Their sides are killers. Too bad there aren't any in the lower mainland.

I put Churchs as slightly better solely due to the fact I can only get Popeye's in the States. However, the sides and spicy chicken are much better.
With Carl's Jr. moving up north, it's only a matter of time before a Popeye's opens. RS Popeye's meet, anyone?

Carl's Jr has been opened for about two weeks on Dunsmuir and Howe; people have been noting a similar pricing disparity similar to CMG
Five Guys on Robson next to Candy Aisle is boarded up and is under construction Posted via RS Mobile
Is five guys at Park royal still under construction?

I had L.A. Chicken tonight for the 2nd time. Prior, I've had my fair share of KFC, Church's, Uncle Willy's, Chicken World, and Popeye's.
I must say, L.A. Chicken is really good; however, it lacks consistency. The first time I had it about a month ago, the chicken wasn't salty, but the batch I've had tonight, it was very salty. To the point, where you're screwed if your meal wasn't accompanied with a beverage.
Anyway, their chicken is moist, the meat is not salty, so I don't believe that it's brine. The coating of the chicken is where their seasoning takes place. It was OVER-SEASONED for my second visit, so a bit of a thumbs down in that regard. The coating is light and crispy. The pieces were big. All in all, it's good. I personally won't rate that it's better than Church's cause both of them excel in different areas where the other one lacks. For example, Church's chicken is brine so it's more juicy, but LA has a crispier coating, but is less moist. They are both on even grounds in my books.
Anyone work or know someone that works at Churches? I just bought a Deep Fryer recently and have been making lots fo fried chicken but would love to replicate the Churches Spicy Chicken.

^ I can't wait to go when it opens. I haven't had their burger in A LONG TIME. Though it can get a bit expensive, $15 tax in (if I remember correctly) for a double-patty bacon cheeseburger, regular fires, and a drink. It's pretty darn good.
Has anyone been to the Filipino restaurant on Kingsway near boundary called Max's?
I read that they have good fried chicken. It is part of a chain of restaurants in the USA
