Cannot connect to wifi with htc touch diamond 2

got an htc touch diamond 2, cannot connect to wifi, it can detect it, but when i click on the network, it jumps me back to the original page, and i keep getting a message that says there is a problem connecting to the gprs service in your registered network, somehting like that... any solutions?

try turn off the gprs. only wifi on.

make sure ur connecting to "hotspot browser" not "default browser"

how would i turn off the gprs and connect to the hotspot browser
