Dumb question but I need some advice...
 

I just bought a E71 for my sister that has UMTS 850/1900 on it (E71-2). It is unlocked. So my sister went to get a Telus SIM card and the rep tried to put his Telus SIM in first to see if it would work...and apparently the phone couldn't/didn't have any reception.

Anyone run into such an issue or anything similar?

It should work. My E71 worked on Bell.

settings on 3G and not only 2G?

Apparently the fuck tard inserted the SIM wrong because my sis asked someone else today @ Telus to try and it worked fine.

It was on Dual Band (default), I believe so it wouldn't have a problem from the start.
