| Aston Martin DBS
Ok guys, I know buying a car isn't an investment but would you consider a 2009 Aston Martin DBS with 550km for $219,000 a steal of a deal?
If it was driven for a 1-2 years, what would the resale be you think? Avg KM put on it would be around 5000-8000km a year.
Possible to resell it for more?
TIA

that's a steal if it's local.
... but no you will not resell it for more, you'll probably lose 30k +.

most car would depreciate
i believe the DBS ur looking at is white right? i might be wrong, but make sure its local car because i believe that car came from Alberta
also, your most likely wont be able to sell for what you bought it for because considering the dealer is selling it for $219,000, they probably picked it up for $180,000~ approx or even less considering the economy now
since summer is coming to an end, you might be able to bargin a bit more and get a better deal because selling these kinds of cars during the winter season is hard, and if it doesnt sell they have to keep it till march next year before it might sell.
but definitely won't be able to sell for how much you bought it, unless you paid a lot less than market value

they do.
brand new 2010 DBS roughly cost 280k in the US now if you check some of the prices out...
when the 2009's were new in 2009 they costed around that also I think, now the 2009's with 4k miles or so are going for like $190,000.... pretty crazy.

tofu
any high end car depreciates really fast.
saw an 06 S550 for sale the other day for $50g, low milleage no accident. Thats already 50% off its original price tag!
than an 04 745i for $33g 70k for $33g.
high end cars depreciate a lot faster than say a toyota yaris or honda civic

if he has that money to spend on a car, I am sure he has more in investments. Have you looked into importing one from the states?

lols. sticker price is 31k from richmond acura back in 2000...
used ones out there sell for 10k + regardless of mileage..
i dont know, i might end up selling mine if the offer is right.. might as well get a DC5 type S. i found a very spiffy 05' RSX-S in white for a very very nice price..

If you have 280k++ to throw into a toy, 30/40/50k depreciation per year is nothing to you.
That is unless.......... you are one of those that max your finances to the limit to look impressive/rich/baller then yeah, the depreciation would have a devastating impact on your overall finances.

ITR/NSX/Supra etc | i guess so for those cars too..
same goes for some classics, especially those older air cooled 911's... holding their value very very well.
a clean 96' 993 C4S would hold onto about 45k+ in average shape..
im surprsied those FD RX-7's arent that expensive.. maybe because of the RHD cars that came in..??
