I kid you not, maybe I got a lemon or something, all of my friends had 9700's around the same time as well, none of them creaked like mine.

In the end, that specific berry ended up shitting the bed, so I got a replacement and it hasnt made a peep ever since.

I think my experience was the opposite of yours with the 9000, besides the clicky battery cover + trackball issues, it was great

I think it is just you :C

Does anyone use the calendar? Know where it shows up new msgs and the events or w.e are underneath. It shows up this week and the next 2 weeks. How can i make it only show this week? and it's an event that repeats itself once a week as a reminder for myself.

Bonka 11-26-2010 09:55 PM

Mine seems to be fine. What version OS are you running? I'm on v6.0.0.285.

Armind 11-26-2010 09:57 PM

same as yours

6insomnia9 11-27-2010 12:39 PM

I'm having the same problem as do a few others on crackberry , I'm running latest leak version and still experiencing it, hopefully they will fix it soon.

I ended up buying the OEM leather case. It looks kind of cheap but it has a little magnet that puts it to sleep when you slip it in. Nice feature. I didn't like the bulk it added with those plastic/rubber skins.

^ where did you get that one from? I've been looking for one but can't find it. Its the same as the one that you can get for the torch right? With the little shiny bb symbol on the front???

If we're talking about this one:

I bought mine at BestBuy for $20+tax (same price as on CrackBerry). I don't know if they have the Torch version though. Everywhere else seems to be more expensive.

just got mine today.. the guy at wireless gave me an otterbox commuter case :D all i had to pay was the tax haha.

so far so good, just need to get a little more used to os6 heh

I have no problems either but I have heard they have some of the same physical issues as the 9700 like light bleed, trackpad noises/crooked but nothing too serious or as widespread as the 9700. If you're picky, get the rep to bring out a few of them and test each one.

That is if a rep even lets you test them out :p

Teh Doucher 11-30-2010 11:47 PM

LemonT 12-01-2010 12:15 AM

planning to either pick the 9780 up or the 9800 as a second phone, what are the pro's and con's of each? especially for the people who have owned both previously?
