The 8 year old kid was not the one who dunked it in paint thinner. Someone did it while the cat was outside.

Reading comprehension > you.

donjalapeno 08-17-2010 08:55 PM

^ lol my bad, skimmed through it

TheSalesman 08-17-2010 08:55 PM

stupid idiot that dunked the cat in paint thinner should die!
My cat looked just like that which passed away last year....those orange tabby cats are always really friendly and I guess it let some retard get too close.

Gumby 08-17-2010 09:47 PM

If they find the person responsible, they should immerse him/her in nail polish remover. Forget medical treatment afterwards!

Mugen EvOlutioN 08-17-2010 09:51 PM

poor pussy

AzNightmare 08-17-2010 09:54 PM

wow! $18,000 vet bill...

sucks to hear, cause... you know... don't want to say it, but you get where I'm getting at...

StylinRed 08-17-2010 10:11 PM

now could it be possible that the cat fell into a bucket of paint thinner that was left carelessly around?

we have a lot of cats in our neighbourhood and they go EVERYWHERE i had the screen door open a couple of times and this one cat keeps trying/wanting to come inside

i dont know i just cant imagine someone doing something like that (although i know those ppl are out there).. at least the likelihood seems higher if it was the cat that fell in with no1 around

tiger_handheld 08-17-2010 10:23 PM

punk kids + summer = recipe for stupid.

jpark 08-17-2010 10:23 PM

who leaves a bucket of paint thinner, enough to douse an entire cat, just lying around uncovered? knowing the depravity of people, i unfortunately CAN imagine someone doing something like that, just for the fun of it. definitely much more likely than a cat getting into an uncovered bucket of paint thinner...

babycake 08-18-2010 12:02 AM

Definitely purposely dunked in the thinner by some sick being. In an earlier news report, the owner said that only the bottom half of the cat's body was immersed in the paint thinner and it was a clean dunk and she could clearly see where the line had stopped. If the cat had jumped in himself, at least his front paws would have some thinner on them, but that wasn't the case. :(

!LittleDragon 08-18-2010 12:16 AM

It could very well be an accident. My friend was changing his coolant and his son was playing with the dog. He drained the coolant into a pan and put it aside to bottle up later. Well, guess who came and lapped up some coolant... :(

threezero 08-18-2010 12:59 AM

i remember reading another news about puppy being dunk in acid as well. not ruling "curiosity kill the cat" but there are certainly people sick enough to do that. Chances are they won't be caught if there wasn't a tip or cctv capture. Psychopaths have 3 common traits and one of them is torture and or killing of animals for pleasure =\

supers7n 08-18-2010 01:22 AM

Fuck this article made me rage pretty hard.

We need to find the fucker who dunked the cat in paint thinner.

FerrariEnzo 08-18-2010 04:34 AM

if i found who did this, i make the idiot DRINK the paint thinner

Walperstyle 08-18-2010 05:45 AM

Animal Cruelty is wrong, and especially if its a family pet. I just would hate to see you guys in a butcher shop, chasing chickens, or working on a farm.

it doesn't happen as often, but they use to kill off puppies and kittens by drowning them when it got to be a problem.

If you have a pet, it should be fixed, especially if its an outdoor pet.

Seriously. Who spends $18K on a cat? Just buy another, it is a pet, not a person.

taylor192 08-18-2010 05:57 AM

Hopefully this serves a lesson for cat owners and doesn't just become a sob story.

I don't condone what was done, yet I'm not blind to why it might have been done.

Dogs aren't let free to roam the neighbourhood and get into trouble like this - yet cats are. Cats can be a nuisance and not everyone is going to share your love for your cat. So if you love your cat, keep it inside, or put it on a leash.

I am a dog person, not a cat person, so I am admittedly biased.

TRD Rs200 08-18-2010 06:17 AM

fucked up!

twitchyzero 08-18-2010 07:31 AM

i dont know what's worse
the cat having to go through that torture
or the single mother with a 18k vet bill
