everyone is already infected (a carrier?), so it ultimately dosen't really matter in the end whether you are a full blown walker or someone's bbq dinner

ugh that i am not sure. there has to be some sort of fluid transfer, such as blood or saliva making contact with mucous membrane in order to get infected, get sick and then die and turn... eating (cooked)meat that is infected :dunno:

I really like the direction in which this show is going. It's really interesting how they are starting to dehumanize humans not in the group in the same way they dehumanize the walkers. Really excited to see where this show will go. I think it'd be pretty cool if the walkers started to ignore the cannibal humans. On another note, anyone else think the priest and the cannibals are somewhat connected?

From the first season, people ran high fevers when they were bitten. People turn when they die and are subsequently reanimated by the zombie virus. Dr. Jennerfrom season one did the experiments and showed that the virus only activated a certain part of the brain again after people have died regardless of cause. Even when Herschel was decapitated he came back as a walker head, minus the walking.
I think when people are bitten by an unclean corpse, I believe they explained this somewhere, that people run fevers because of the unclean bites. They amputated Herschel's leg and cleaned his wound and he was fine after. If I recall correctly, it took a while before Rick hacks off his leg. That kid who got the prison sickness from the swine died and came back without any bites or wounds.
I guess the cannibals can eat the walkers as long as it doesn't cause them to become indirectly deceased (like choking on a bone and dying) and go through the reanimation process. Like mentioned, everyone is already infected.
season 5 way more interesting than season 4 but i still find myself skipping a lot of the slow dialogues. like when rick was telling carl that he isnt safe etc etc.
I really want them back in the big city like in season 1. more walkers and way more intense than out in the middle of nowhere.

Everyone is already infected. It's a matter of becoming dead before anything happens. Bob isn't telling anyone because he's scared that he'll be chopped up if they find out and I don't think him kissing someone who is already infected will pass anything else on that hasn't already been passed around.
But then he got the worst of it. Dude's getting eaten by cannibals.
