I'm thinking of reading Volume one of the novels. I'm just wondering how long does it take to read one of these? I've never read a graphic novel and I plan to take it on vacation but dont want to be done with it after a flight.
Dale's annoying, happy with what happened. Why didn't he just leave the camp if he had such strong moral convictions? What a hypocrite. Idealistic loser.
It's the wild west out there and he's still debating on rule of law and shit. God, I'd hate to have him in my camp. Safety and survival first.
If Rick had half a brain he should've killed Shane a long time ago.
god damn.... i really hate carl..... not sure if it's his ability to be an absolutely retarded kid, or his weak dialogue, but i hate that kid so fucking much.
Rick came close to leaving Shane for dead... He was thinking straight until he saw the two zombie cop bodies laying next to each other. I'm assuming that the two bodies brought back memories of their close relationship... ride together, die together mentality
and Fuck Carl. First he walks around thinking it's alright to kill, next he steals a gun and LOSES it too. I ain't even gonna mention how big of a fuck up he is afterwards...
Did anyone else think it was creepy seeing that kid keep repeating "do it"?
In reference to the books where he's getting unhinged, I was expecting him to pull the trigger on Randal when Rick chickened out. Surprise surprise. But no, he loses the gun and just stand there. =\
I liked dale, he's the only who trys to rationalize while everyone else is either planning a mutiny, running away or hiding. The only 2 people I like other than dale are glenn and daryl.

lol novels. They are comics, with about 10 words per page. Posted via RS Mobile
I get what Dale is talking about but if it's the end of the world and others have to die so that I and the ones I love can live, I'm okay with that.
And Carl fucking sucks in this show. Just like every character on this show compared to his comic book counterpart.
People LOVE Carl in the comics. You wouldn't believe the absolute OUTRAGE when...
COMIC SPOILER AHEAD
Spoiler!
Seriously, don't read this if you don't read the comics...it's a major plot point that's happening in very recent (~issue 85-90+) time.
Spoiler!
...Carl gets shot in the face...
I don't really like Carl in the comics but he isn't some snot-nosed asshole kid that never does what he's told. Carl would not have stolen Daryl's gun or walked off by himself. He isn't this stupid.
When Dale walked off by himself, I thought he would get captured by the cannibals.

My wife loves Dale's character while I totally hate him.
We both agree that if the world has become what it is, then survival of the fittest but in my mind, it would be total anarchy.
No one is there to be judge or jury and if it means keeping everyone in the pack safe, then so be it especially knowing that there is a group of 30 men who is heavily armed and will do nasty things to the women.
I dunno, but it is blatantly obvious to me that that kid managed to survive with that pack of guys because he was able to be one of them. Maybe cause Dale doesn't see it like that which is why I can't stand his character.

I did agree with Dale about not giving Andrea a gun.
It really upset me when she thought she was playing CS and tried to snipe from the top of the RV.

Actually, I'm starting to find that I'm beginning to hate most of the characters. The only ones that are growing on me are Glenn, Rick and Daryl.
I have no idea what happens in the comics but it seems like the group is starting to thin out quite a bit. I'm interested to see if the rest of the group starts to die off and it just turns into a story about Rick's family. Or... how they're going to introduce more characters to the group.
Finally watched the latest episode, and AWWWWWW YEARRRR
Dale wont be missed; one less annoying holier-than-thou busybody around. Not even surprised Carl had something to do with this, it's like his thing to go off on his own and be a big bad cowboy.
