a single excavator would do WONDERS in a zombie apocalypse. it could even be used to smash zombies
You're gonna have tons of fun finding fuel for it. Good luck using that thing and not attracting every single zombie within the area to you. It'll be interesting to see how you escape once your fuel runs out and you have hundreds of zombies outside

I want someone to explain to me how when you die you reanimate dead. That means becoming a zombie is an airborne condition, so what stops people from just turning undead before they die? Is passing it on through biting the same strain? or could there be multiple zombie viruses?

My opinion: it could be an airborne vector (virus) that only attacks decomposing human tissue, specifically, the brain and uses humans as a host to perpetuate its life.
imagine if they all decided to dig a 7 foot trench around the whole farm.
a simple but yet effective defense.
That'd be a great escape method too, small trenches to just lead to a safer location. Since zombies just rely on sound and sight, humans travelling in a trench would be virtually invisible.
If you guys need me during the zombie apocalypse, I'll be holed up at Costco.
Costco, Walmart, Superstore and any mall is the worst possible place you can go. I'd be more worried about looters and people with weapons than zombies lol
I see what you guys are saying about looters but...this is Richmond. All the looters and such are going to be c-lais and scrawny Asians, none of which will be a threat unless they're zombified.

Easy - get a hybrid excavator
Edit: Since this is Revscene after all.. what ONE car would you guys have/drive during a zombie apocalypse? Doesn't matter if it's a gas hog, hella flush, etc. - just has to be available for consumers (ie, no tanks lol)

I just saw the episode it was pretty good except rick and shane going at it right in front of the Farm... why would Shane "decide to do it" there right in front of home -_-
and i didnt expect Rick to do it when Shane was already giving in
I like how they made reference to the comic though with Carl shooting Shane (even though its not exact i think it was better than how the comic did it)

so.. are they all infected already? Is that what the Scientist guy said to Rick in the 1st season?
i thought he told rick he saw shane and lori going at it, since the scientist guy was watching the cameras all the time
and when lori told rick about her and shane didnt he say he knew about it?

Given your requirements, I would probably want to get my hands on the below, the Marauder by a South African manufacturer called Paramount Group. For those who have not seen Top Gear's review on this and its comparison to a Hummer, it's essentially an armored and anti-mine vehicle. This vehicle isn't restricted to military use anymore as it is currently being sold to the public as a commercial vehicle for a bit over $500,000; but who cares about prices during a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world. XD

Whatever sort of tour bus we see musicians in all the time with the bunks and kitchen and shit.
Nail some reinforcements to the sides and put a snow plow in the front.

But that doesn't explain how people who are bit turn into zombies before they actually die. How does the bite turn someone if there's already something in the air that turns someone once they become deceased?

hmm going on my theory, since the zombie is now the host (carrier), the disease could spread through the blood stream?
lol I don't know
Edit: If I was to have a vehicle, I'd have an economy car like a focus or something. Trucks are loud and gas guzzlers.

I don't recall anyone turning into a zombie before they die..
The bites kill you from loss of blood. If something took a chunk out of your body it's likely that it'll rip a major artery. With no surgeons around, you're probably dead in 30 minutes.

Bites do NOT transfer the "zombie disease". Well, they might but that's irrelevant. The bite is what kills you. You get a fever and die like that redneck dude in the 1st season.
EVERYONE already has the zombie disease but they don't turn into zombies until they die.
