I laughed when Michone was apparently pulling the sword out of the zombies head in the diner, but you just see it hovering there with "gushing blood" sound effects. That was some terrible CG work.
I thought it was a pretty good ep! I guess it wasn't good for the need-constant-left-4-dead-stimulus crowd... but it was good for showing how fucked up the world is getting for people, and it answered the Morgan question everyone thought the writers forgot about.
The way they just drove off from the hitch hiker. They dont even stop to see who other people are anymore, but they will stop to collect his supplies
Michone has established herself as part of the group
Rick is learning to deal with his shit
Carl wants to lead, or at least be capable of doing his own shit, but has some learning to do
And Morgan did a good job at showing what happens to people.
Its a show about real people dealing with the apocalypse, not a video game about killing zombies. But that's been said so many times I just ignore most of the posts in here now. Its so much deeper than a movie that shows only 2 ways of dealing with things (either be a rambo hero, or die), there are so many different ways people deal.

Yes, but the pace of the conversation and the development of characters are way too slow. This episode was good imo, the dialogue between Morgan and Rick were great, also with carl's dealings with Michone.
But last weeks episode was garbage, it did nothing to add to the storyline, themes, morals, development etc. and to be frank, annoyed most viewers.
There are many shows out there that dont rely on rambo styling killing to be entertaining yet dont have boring, long, slow, dragged out pointless conversation.

That was one of the better written episodes. Seeing Morgan and how he has lost "everything" really brought on the feels. Zombie killing is good but episodes like this is what the core of the show is all about.
How the end of the world changes people. The good, the bad and the weak.
GREAT episode. FINALLY! Michonne is more like her comic version.
I love the episodes of TV shows that feature only a few members of the cast. One of my favorite episodes of Mad Men, "The Suitcase", is pretty much just Don and Peggy talking for 45 minutes. Think about the episode of Breaking Bad, "The Fly", which is just Walt and Jesse in the lab.
It separates the good shows from the bad. There's nowhere to hide with action sequences and car chases...it's all dialogue and exposition.
Carol is like Lori's best friend and Carol says something like "I want to marry you...and Rick." to which Lori's all and says no. Carol gets into a huff, she fucks some guy (who is not in the show, one of Herschel's family), goes outside and offers herself to a zombie the gang has chained up in the yard to "learn from.". I think someone shoots her before she turns.
Am I the only one who noticed in last week episode when the governor was holding the match to his missing eye, it was the opposite eye from which he wears his eye patch Posted via RS Mobile

Very good ep tonight, pretty much what I expect a zombie apocalypse show to be about.
People going crazy, line of humanity being pushed (hitchhiker was great touch).
Veritable armory Morgan was able to acquire, I hope they brought back some good toys, maybe another decent melee weapon would go a long way to conserving ammo.
Man I LOVED today's ep. Best one of the second half of the season for sure.
Great acting job by the guy who plays Morgan. Solid performance especially when he was telling the story of how Duane died. It was very believable to me.
The hitch hiker parts were awesome. Shows just how fucked up the world is now. Posted via RS Mobile

Not bad of an episode. At least now we know what happened to Morgan. Surprised he found all that guns and ammo. Next week's episode looks like its gonna be epic.
Spoiler!
i think the weapons were from the armory that rick took them to in season one. thats why the beginning of the episode showed him going to the station only to find it was cleared out already by someone else.

Rick also said what Morgan has isn't even half of what his [Rick's] old police station had.
On a side note, does Morgan's room remind anyone of a safehouse in left 4 dead? Lol all he needed was some first aid kits.
I noticed at the end when they were loading the car, Michonne had a crossbow. New toy for Daryl? Posted via RS Mobile
anyone else laugh a little when the accident scene they came across on the road was the same french (?) people that darrell and merl saved on the bridge. some people just cant take care of themselves
i agree great acting by morgan, was hoping he'd come back to back 'em up since it seems he went all hardcore...
carl got some street cred in this episode...as soon as he walked up and pops one in to morgan i saw the expression on michonne's face...this totally went through my mind:
Spoiler!
reversing for the back pack was a nice touch
+1 for when i saw the crossbow i was thinking dual wield
wow great observation on the crash site...but that means the baby
