Fido Sim network unlock pin?
 

My dad just bought an xperia x10 mini and everytime he puts the
sim card in it asks for the sim network unlock pin. If I dismiss this
message then there's no service. I called fido about this pin and
they said they don't know anything about it. I've already tried all
of the default codes such as 0000 1111 1234. Any help is appreciated.

You need to get the phone unlocked.

did you buy the rogers xperia?

Fido doesn't carry the Xperia X10 Mini. Only rogers. Therefore your phone is locked and needs an unlock code. Unless it's an import model then you're kinda screwed.

Thanks. The phone was bought at rogers. I thought if you payed full price for the phone on no term it came unlocked.

Check online to see if anyone can unlock it for you. Shouldn't be more than $20 if they can do it. I'm surprised rogers sold the phone to him outright without being a rogers customer.

No way. Not a chance.

Try one of the RS sponsors, JP Cell Repair for unlocking services.

Try an online unlocking service as well, worked for my telus desire as well as others on this forum and others.

For future reference: Fido default sim lock code (not for unlocking your phone, but your unlocking your sim card, should for whatever reason the sim card have a security lock on it) is 3436

It reads F i d o on the dial pad.
