he is correct saying you wont be charged roaming IF you dont have money in your My Wallet, the phone just wont work. But this is the case for all plans, not just the $40.

So you control how much you pay by putting or not putting in money to my wallet. If you dont have money in there, you wont get charged, but your phone wont work.

so basically he lied.

Vulcan300 12-01-2010 02:58 PM

Mobility is now allowing you to pay in advance to get discounts up to 33%. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me

no iphone will work on 1700/2100 band (mobilicity, wind) unless you want to pay roaming all the time

i dont think so because it's already a promo... cant promo on a promo right? but if you prepay the $45 plan + add data, it's the same as the $40 F&F promo

J____ 12-01-2010 04:53 PM

Oh and you're missing BIS which was included in the F&F plan.

Does anyone know if it will apply to the $10 Data plan too?
$25 + $10 + pay for 12 months in advance + 33% off = $23.10 would be a pretty sweet deal.

Vulcan300 12-01-2010 10:02 PM

No, all add ons are additional at regular price. Only the $25, $35, and $45 plans are discounted

hchang 12-01-2010 10:17 PM

I know a similar question was asked before but I'm still a bit confused.

If I was to go somewhere out of province but still be under Mobilicity's coverage area (for example Toronto), how will I be charged? Roaming?

Cause I know with Rogers, as long as I'm connected to the Rogers network wherever I am, I can still send texts like I do at home, and I can call locally at wherever I am at no extra cost, but I would be charged roaming if I answer my phone.

if you have the $25 plan, u can make unlimited calls to vancouver if you have a vancouver number and is in the other mobilicity coverage cities. Calls anywhere else is 15cents per min LD cost

if you have the $35 plan, u can make unlimited calls to BC if you have a vancouver number. Calls anywhere else is 15cents per min LD cost

if you have the $45 plan, u can make unlimited calls to any number if you have a vancouver number.

there is no roaming charges on any plan if you call back to the city your phone originated from if you are in another mobilicity coverage city.

hchang 12-01-2010 10:34 PM

^ Thanks for your response.

What if I was to call a Toronto number while in Toronto?

Still not bad.
$25 gives you pretty much all you need already.

$25 X 33% off + $10 Data + Tax = $29.77 for everything.

15 cents a minute i believe is their long distance rate for north america. not 100% sure

bcrdukes 12-01-2010 11:14 PM

Calls made within the city you are located in is a local call.

Calls received while you are outside of your home city is long distance.

Gt-R R34 12-01-2010 11:17 PM

so with the 40$ plan, i can be any place call anyone in the moblicity area and be good to go?

yes. u can call anywhere in north america (except hawaii, alaska) for free as long as you're in a mobilicity coverage area in any of the cities that has it.

Hawaii and alaska is not covered in unlimited calling.

Yea, the guy I signed up for wasn't sure either. But the other guy showed him. When you get to the add on page, there's an option to add BIS for $0.00 dollars.

sam0m0 12-02-2010 01:00 AM

i live in burnaby and when i signed up for a 3 yr contact with fido, i signed up for a new 778 number but when my bills come in it says my # orginates from aldergrove.. and aldergrove looks like its outside their coverage area. so if i'm talking in the covered area but my # says from aldergrove am I still able to port my number from fido to mobilicity?

also how does the porting number work, if i cancel fido and pay till the end of the month, is the # still mine even if i have no service, and then go mobilicity to activate it? or does it have to be ported while i'm still with fido. Can I also just go mobilicity city say port my number then call fido and say im canceling.
