Do all airlines charge for checked baggage? I just found out that Alaska Airlines charges $20 per checked baggage/luggage one way. Has it always been like this? I thought it was free for the 1st one. What about other airlines? I should have knew this so I could add $40 on top of my airfare. |
All American Airlines do. Even Air Canada when they go through another American Airline will charge. Consider 20 bucks cheaper than the other ones. Some start at 30 and go up in $10 increments for each bag. |
Continental Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta are all $25 for 1st piece (23 when check online). I believe Air Canada is free for 1st baggage. All this applies for flights to/from/within Canada and USA. |
Yeah Aligiant Air it's $15 for your first bag, $25 for your next and so on. I'm flying down to LA next month and found baggage fees on all the flights I looked at so we are planning to just pack light and carry on everything. |
