Quick get away for a couple suggestions?

In need of a quick get away suggestion for this long weekend. Not looking for crossing border because we just got back from the u.s a week ago.... something simple & relaxing would be nice. Kind of on a budget too...not too pricey. Nothing too far away, like 1-3 hr max drive please! somewhere that has a beach or lake would be ideally.

At this time of year Whistler's both very pretty and very afforable. Especially if you're both into hiking and outdoors stuff.

There's plenty of nice places on the island but any where with a beach/lake is going to be booked already for the long weekend.
